    I literally cancelled my Xbox live Gold yesterday, any idea if I will be eligible for this seeing as I would be an inactive user

        The 30/09/2018 date is only for Xbox Game Pass and so it doesn't apply to Xbox Live Gold. e.g. "Xbox Game Pass 1-month offer only valid for new subscribers or users who canceled their subscription before 30/09/2018."

        For Xbox Live Gold it just says not valid for existing subscribers but it says it's for new members. Whether that includes accounts with an expired Live Gold subscription i do not know.

        Add that to your cart and see if it is actually still showing $1. It shows $1 for me, but once added it shows $10.
        Hopefully, this will change tomorrow.

        Unfortunately, Game Pass doesn't work with the Xbox 360 console at all. You can only play the featured Xbox 360 games only on Xbox One consoles.

    For people who signed up previously, did the 2 months automatically apply upon sign up and can you cancel before they are up?

    Don't trust Xbox with promotional offers after the issues I had with the "buy 3 and get 3 months free of live" last year.

      To get that extra month free, you need to be a new subscriber / user. If you have signed up previously, and Microsoft had offered you the extra month by keeping auto-renew on at the time of signing up, then it is unlikely Microsoft will offer you again. Some OZBers reported Microsoft offered that to them again, but it has yet to happen to me.

      For GamePass, signing up as a new user (create a new account) isn't a big deal since you don't collect any games in GamePass. For XBLive Gold, while you can share the free games when that new account has active subscription, that free game collected can only be played when that new user has an active XBLive Gold.

        I'm thinking of using an old Xbox Live account (not my main account) I have to activate this offer incase a better or same offer comes up again in the future. When you "free games collected," are you referring to Games With Gold? Didn't think you could play any Gamepass games after subscription expires - unless they've been purchased or acquired free previously with Gold?

          Yes, Game with Gold games. For example, Feb 2019 ones:

          Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon - End Feb 28
          Super Bomberman R - Starts Feb 16
          WRC 6 - Ends Feb 15

          So, it will come down to whether you think those games are worth collecting on your main account or not.

            @netsurfer: If you really want to go down the road of “never paying for Xbox live and making a trial account every month” the 360 games are still playable after Xbox live is expired.

                  @TLZ: From the sounds of it, you have already added the game to your account. The “install to device” is just a feature that remotely adds the game to your console download queue. I believe you can only do this if you have set your Xbox as your “Home Console”.

                  Me personally, I can’t remote queue :( I have my home set on my niece’s Xbox so she can gameshare with me so remote installs get sent to her.

                    @SlappersOnly: It is set as my home Xbox, so not sure what's going on. I don't know how else to download it now. I can't see it on my Xbox.

                    Edit: I just changed my console location to US and it worked.

    I love gamepass!
    No need to buy most games now. Either wait for gamepass. If the games special? like Halo or Gears and Forza. I can buy them anyway!
    Gamepass Just got the new Tomb Taider. Ready to try it.
    I wish sony and nintendo had these services.
    Not streaming games like psnow,my internet is way too crap for that

      If you're currently utilising it for online play and the free 360 games, then I think it's worth it. After all,you get to keep the 360 games. The Xbox One games are a bonus should you ever upgrade.

      When will the trial ends? Before 21/02? If it ends between 17/02 to 21/02, then it would be pretty good timing (in terms of collecting max number of free games).

          Create a new account on or before 21/02. XBox Live Gold and GamePass are shareable across accounts on the same home console. Or, check with Microsoft support to see if they can do anything for you.

      GamePass PlayAnywhere titles are playable on PC as well (so you can play Forza Horizon 4 on your PC as well - just login to Microsoft store with the same account on Windows 10). Let's hope Crackdown 3 is a PlayAnywhere title too.

      I have an XB1X… but I know the truth is… (Unfortunately), games play best on …. PC.

    Why do Microsoft put so much effort into making it hard as possible.

    On my Xbox One the deal for 2 months for $2.00 is on the front page. When you click on it you go to an Xbox Live & Game Pass page. Click on Xbox live and it says '1 month for $2.00' - No mention of the 2nd month for free.
    Then when you try to proceed it says $2.00 for 1 month + tax AND $10.95 for the next month. Because I have $10.19 in my Xbox account it says 'How are you going to pay for the remainder'

    So do i have to pay $10.95 to get the $2.00 deal ?

    It's clearly stated if you go to the xbox page on a PC but I havent tried to go further yet.
