  As far as I can see Smart Translator is only the free version. It states "Balance 500" on connection (500 tries???) and asks $9.99 payment to add microphone support. There is a $17.99 version marked as +, needless to say I didn't get that.

  BA I think this one has deceived you unless I'm mistaken.

  (On a recheck there is no "Smart Translator!", there is a Smart Translator HD! marked as "Free" and the HD!+ mentioned above, seems like a crippleware deception, hate those.)

    Maybe try again? I just got the full paid version for free without any problems.

      Thanks masuta….just re-relooked and still being asked to pay for the "HD!+" version using an IPad….can I ask what you used and the exact name of what you obtained?

        I got the full version on iPhone, works well. Haven’t tried through iPad though.

  Thanks folks - sorry about slow reply PC woes - ping 2000+!!! Iinet blaming it on NBN work in my area???. Am trying to install Itunes on PC as I don't have an IPhone…..hopefully that will let me into the store as a freebie eligible.

    FWIW….success!.

    Awfully complex (mike) interface requiring many clicks. Accuracy untested, appears to use Nuance as translator.

  Try Google translater app it will tranlate printed words too via using camera…
