Experience with warranty returns

I have a set of headphones from Kingston that has the jack slightly bent, it is not immediately noticeable but you can see it when you rotate the jack. I'm willing to gamble a shipping cost to try and get it repaired under warranty and say the issue is with the cord rather than the jack.

Anybody have any "lenient warranty" experiences? Stuff like it was your fault but they replaced/repaired it anyway?

This is why companies stop having lenient warranty returns policies.

OP: Stop ruining the system for everyone else.

    • seriously? the guys headphone jack is bent. even if there are no audio problems now why wait until there are?

      • Because I somehow don't think it was bent when OP bought it*, so OP is trying to claim a warranty return for damage he did to the product.

*I think this because OP hopes the manufacturer won't notice the bent jack.

a headphone jack just can't get bent, even if OP contributed to it there was probably a fault with the product.

          • @Savas: I love your habit of just throwing out utterly baseless claims like they're facts. You've got a real knack for it. Maybe even turn it into a career as a political speechwriter.

          • @Savas: Are you kidding? If you have it plugged into your walkman in your pocket and sit on it, the jack will bend very easily. Op is trying to scam the company.

  • Do they still work? without any feedback, static or distortion?
If so, you'll likely find they send them back as they are fit for purpose. In which case, you are paying to send your headphones on a holiday, nothing more.

just set it on fire and say it came like that

    • Inb4 OP sends an envelope of some hard-to-identify ash/powder through Auspost…
