      Cashback is only eligible to new OVO customers, so it'll only be eligible for your 1st purchase. You can however purchase an additional two services on the one OVO account, however those two won't qualify for cashback as you won't be a new customer by then.

      It's legitimate of course! Otherwise we wouldn't be featuring this offer onsite. amaysim sometimes pays even more (last month you could make $20 from a different SIM offer).

    Avoid shopback unless you like throwing your money away. I gave it a shot based off advice that the store rep here would help if it doesn't get tracked. Wrong, they just sent you to the site customer service.

    If the transaction doesn't get tracked for whatever reason (even if you used a browser with no as block installed like I did) akes 75 days(!!!) for them to investigate.

    "We've started investigation on your missing Cashback claim for your transaction with amaysim Mobile and will take no longer than 75 days from today to get back to you."

    Avoid.

      It does not really take that long even though that's what their response is. Similar situation and it only took a couple of weeks for missing cashback to be applied in my account.

      As much as we would like to get claims processed as quickly as possible, sometimes it takes stores a while to get back to us as they might only go through claims in batches/at a fixed certain time period.

    What qualifies as a new customer? Just a new email address? Like the amaysim deal was?

      A new account is what would classify you as a new customer, however OVO will make the call on whether to approve your cashback or not later down the track if they do see you have multiple accounts with them. We aren't sure if they are like amaysim where it's fine to qualify for such cashback offers if you simply make a new account.

    • I have this problem and can't seem to get around it despite using a different computer and wifi connection. Are the details tied to my shopback account somehow??! I have never clicked through to Ovo from shopback.

        resolved the issue if anyone is wondering - it's likely Chrome autofilling in the details. Didn't have the issue in another browser

  • I'm now to Shopback, do you have to activate the sim in order to get the cashback or will it automatically send you the money? In that case, how long does it usually take?

    • "Must be activated by February 28, 2019". The cashback usually takes 75 days or more

        • Yep this is correct, it'll appear as pending and can turn into Confirmed or Rejected.

          Provided you follow all T&Cs your cashback shall be Confirmed later down the track.

    Can you cancel immediately after signup or have to wait?

    • I mean no reason to cancel, just make sure you activate it online at some point so you can disable auto-recharge.

        my experience is you cant remove your credit card detail in the system. you need to have at least one on the file.

    For anyone wondering, the gmail + addresses didn't seem to work but the . did

    EG: [email protected] - said my account already existed

  • They charged me 0.99c + an extra 0.70 this is a hustle. Buy with caution!

    • I checked now…its correct.They are charging more than 0.99. I asked them through chat and its to authorize the account and they will refund it back.

    • Check the special terms, it's actually only $5 cashback for the medium ($0.99) plan.

    Say if you ported out on day 15 of the 30 days, does it affect the cashback being approved?

    • why risk it? just get a new number and turn off auto-renew. Then leave it til you get your cashback

  • How do you remove your Card from the payment area? Or at least turn auto-recharge off?

      Can't remove card from payment area, you can turn off auto-recharge in OVO Dashboard under 'Manage My Service', the sim has to be activated first.
