  Has anyone had any success with these? I am sceptical of the ability to measure nutrients, since it only seems to be able to measure conductivity (or lack thereof) between two electrodes, which is something affected by much more than nutrient content.

    I have 6 of these and I am skeptical about how it measures nutrients also. When I put plain water into the plant the conductivity shoots right up, this could be the nutrients in the tap water but I doubt it.

    They work great for measuring moisture, I have mine tied into homeassistant so I get notifications if something needs watering.

      As I suspected, it counts on the correlation between electric conductivity and nutrient content. Very deceiving.
      Yet another example of "don't believe everything you see, just because the results are presented in a fancy way".

    Well you shouldn't be, it's a widely used technique to measure nutrient levels in agriculture and aquariums.

    I have 8 of these and I see a clear difference in conductivity between using plain water and water with nutrients/fertiliser and subsequent plant growth. I haven't performed clinical trials so my experience is no guarantee, but I find the data very useful. Will be buying a few more…
