Clearly states there is an annual fee after the 1st year:
$0 annual fee for the first year2 (a saving of $49)

    • Appears to be targeted and uses cookies :(

Private browsing appears that the link reverts back to annual fee for the first year.

Have changed the link to see if it works for everyone

    • Correction: A saving of $49 per year.

Looks like no annual fee but it’s a high interest rate card at 19.9%

The fine print said "2 After the first year, there is a $9 annual fee for each Additional Card."
Does that mean the original card will have no annual fee for life?

    • Sounds like it!

    • The original card has $49 annual fee after the first year (described on their 'Fees' tab)

  • I think this is targeted as it says you have to click through the link in your email to get the $0 annual fee.

    Also my email said:

    $0 annual card fee ongoing*

*annual fees may be introduced in the future

  • Yep they can change the terms and conditions whenever they want without notice. No point having another high interest rate card.

Reading through these comments is disheartening. To me is looks as though there is no clear understanding of what the deal is. How does business get away with this?

To be fair, they sent a targeted offer to a customer with a clear offer.
The majority of comments here are people who did not get that email but are trying to reproduce it. That's not the companies' fault.

  • "Woolworths rewards not available for customers in Tasmania". It seems the initial sales blurb is pretty much contradicted in the fine print.

Tasmania have their own Woolworths Rewards. Couldn't use my rewards card when were down there.

      • Weird thing is I can use my Woolworths rewards barcode in New Zealand’s Countdown but not in Tas. In Tas it will say error but not in NZ. Although whether it has any effect I’m not sure

        • You can scan it in TAS now there's been a POS upgrade but it still won't collect you points just recognise that it's a loyalty card. Pointless. If you live in TAS you can apply for a frequent shoppers card which offers you $10 of your shop for every $1000 spent. 1 point per dollar system.

  • What if we live in rentals?

  • id be keen to apply but since Mac quire issue it ? so no thanks

  • Coles is usually cheaper. I will order the card and buy $110 worth of products on the 10% off date and then cancel the card and it should not cost me anything.

    • it will cost you more that you think. ie a credit check and entry on your file and you risk getting declined by MB

    • Looks like they nominate a weekend every month for first shop 10% discount. A bit dodgy.

10% discount offer applies to existing Woolworths Credit Card holders who make a purchase (i) at any Woolworths Supermarket between 12:01am (AEST) of the selected Saturday and 11:59pm (AEST) of the selected Sunday for that month; or (ii) online at woolworths.com.au between 12:01am (AEST) of the selected Friday and 11:59pm (AEST) of the selected Sunday for that month (“the Offer Period”). Primary Cardholders will be notified via email prior to commencement of the Offer Period.

  • After activation, remember to change statement delivery from printed to online to avoid $2.5 fee. The default setting seems to be printed.
