    Welcome to the 19th Century.

  • I don’t get the point?

Some girls (myself included) are self conscious about showing everyone our ass and thighs in a tiny swimsuit at the beach. I don't personally feel the need for the shorts underneath but some people might. I like a bit more coverage in the lower half because although I'm not fat I am bottom heavy and have bad cellulite/spider veins which coupled with being almost albino-esque in colour is not exactly pretty to look at. Regardless of the 100+kg women I see running about confidently in tiny bathers I can't seem to have the same "dont give a shit" attitude. A skort is designed so that there are underwear/shorts attached inside so you're not just running around with your bits on show to everyone when you bend over, most of them are hidden within the skirt portion though.

Thanks for explaining. Wouldn’t long boardshorts be better suited for swimming and serve the same purpose but?

They both work similarly, and i'd happily use them but I can never find any that fit me well. I have a small waist and big hips so they're either too tight in the legs or too wide at the waistband, or just really uncomfortable! I've yet to find any in a stretchy material that are still flattering, having the loose skirt flowing over them eradicates that issue!

Try a nude beach. Daunting at first, but you soon realise nobody is perfect, and nobody cares. Might be a cure.

      • Thanks, I was wondering what these were for. Guess it’s also good for hiding those dangly pubes that seem to stick out if you’ve forgotten to shave.

Get with the trend, we're all calling them Skwirts these days

      I would go with Skwort.

Is this designed for Scottish guys?

The skort is only for day-to-day wear. In battle, we don a full-length ballgown covered in sequins. The idea is to blind you opponent with luxury.

Yes, a pair will look great on those t-sexual laddies who are waiting for the op
