  If you're only using Spotify on your ps4, it works fine without premium.

  Search for songs and artists and add them to favourites and playlist and you can choose what song and skip manually whenever you want.
  Pretty sweet.

    I've found the quality is pretty bad on PlayStation specifically, all other devices it seems alright (with a Premium sub).

    Yes, you don't have to be a new subscriber.

    If I remember right you need to cancel your Spotify subscription and then re-subscribe using PS store.
