    …check the reviews?

    • +1

      overall it is positive.

      • +1

fair point…i just read the first page :P

  • Damn, I paid $145 for the 3HP 1800 PSI and now I have envy!

  • Damn I bought the gerni down from 350 to 200 in a deal just before Christmas. In saying that the gerni came with a five year warranty.

  • Not great pressure and flow rate? Still great for the price though.

  • No paver cleaning attachments? A hose like this tends to rip all the dirt out between the pavers based on my experience with a basic ozito…

  • $220 with delivery for me.

This is Stanley in name only, it's a cheap Chinese machine with a Stanley sticker on it.

  • OOS?

  • +5

Thanks OP…Bought 1 each of Stanley ($150) and Blackridge ($100).

    https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/blackridge-blackridge-pe…

    • Can you come back and give us a review if you think the stanley does a 50% better job?

      • +1

I doubt I'll get to see it.

Just got a call earlier from SCA Rouse Hill, the girl on the phone said that they only have one on display and that all clearance items are usually display items. I said OK if it has all the attachments not an issue, I'll take it and then she said since they don't have any in stock she has transferred my order to SCA Blacktown. I asked what about the Blackridge one, she told the same story about the display one and that she will transfer that order to SCA Blacktown as well.

I really doubt I'll get to see any of these as I believe SCA Blacktown store will come up with their own stories.

        • +1

Yep I just got a call from Lismore saying they thought they had one but they couldn't find it. I asked them to check in the staff room for it :)

          • @iratepirate: Same story over & over…I just got a call from SCA Blacktown saying they don't have any only one on display but missing parts.

          • @iratepirate: Hey dude, did you end up getting it?

Blacktown SCA offered refund yesterday but I refused and told'em to hold on to the order until they have stock. The guy on phone then offered to get it delivered to my home for free from other stores that have stock from around the country. I said OK.

I got two separate messages today from SCA. Blackrige one is coming with Toll from Ringwood, VIC and Stanley is coming with TNT from Maroochydore, QLD. I got to say I'm pleasantly surprised. I hope they are brand new units not display stock with missing pieces. Will update later on the performance.

My son had one year's ago. It vibrated its self to bits then collapsed. He took it back and purchased a Karcher.

    • +3

you just stopped me from buying a second pressure wash thank you.

    • +6

Surprised he hasn't taken the Karcher back and purchased a Gerni

      • You rate Gerni, better than K'archer ?

        • +4

Yep. Everyone I know that has owned a Karcher has had the pump fail. Plastic vs metal parts in the pump. I'd like to think they've changed over time but don't believe so.

          • @whitelie: thanks for that.
the folks bought a Karcher unit, ~20 years ago
when they used to make parts differently…but then again,
it was 3-4 times the price of today!

    • Collapsed on itself? Like a black hole?

    • +1

We have a 10 year old karcher version of this barely has any upkeep and still starts everytime. Its works and gets used and abused once or twice a year yet is still working very well and perfect for anything around home. Have to be careful with the nozzle pressure and way too strong for a car.

  • WOW! That sure is Super Cheap

  • +1

    Sold out already damn it

  • Currently shows: Out of stock. This product is currently sold out.

  • +1

Out of stock. How many was in stock, 5?

    • +1

This one was strange as heaps of stores around me had stock then suddenly not available…

      • They probably had a set number available at the sale price and once that number is reached it went back up to full price. It's still showing as in stock for many stores around me, but at full price. Perfectly normal business practise.

  • +5

Looked at reviews and didn't buy one, junk quality. Plenty of complaints about vibration damage and the starter not working.

    • The peoples here who bought this are in for a shock then.

      • +1

Meh, for $150, play the Chinese quality lottery, SCA are pretty easy to get a refund from.

I was only looking for something to replace my $100 Bunnings budget Karcher, just use it to wash my car. Damn thing just won't die.

        • +1

Well that old Karcher would probably out live this one from SCA. Knowing that vibration to pieces issue exists. So i dare to say this was no replacement but a piece of crap.

      • +1

I think they are in for a little rumble.

  • +7

    Went the Blackridge for $100
    https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/blackridge-blackridge-pe…
Complaints seem to be that it's hard to start which I can live with, not vibrating to bits like the Stanley

    • Donno why not being able to check out.. just keep saying high order volume

    • It was probably made by the same company in China at the same warehouse as the SCA. I mean the frame looks exactly the same apart from being painted black instead of yellow.

      • Yeah the frame looks similar, it's how its fixed to the frame that's going to matter

        • The PSI and horsepower are significantly different…

          • @spy: Yeah the frame might not be able to handle too much horsepower.

          • @spy: The extra horsepower and PSI aren't that helpful if the unit is going to fall to bits anyway, besides I don't need 2500 PSI to wash down the car, 1900 will be adequate.

      • +1

Same at the Blackridge air compressors and Stanley. Made in the same factory with the same cardboard boxes but different print and ordered by the same marketing company in Australia with the same destination for phone support.

    • I too went the same. Bargain at $100 even if l get a few years use.

    • Half the power, half the vibrations.

    • I have read that you can fix the starting problem by raising the tank so its gravity fed

  • +3

The only good Stanley tool I know……. is my mate!

  • +1 for description

    • +1

Yeah it was so cheap for a reason.

  • +4

    https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/toolpro-toolpro-pressure…

Cheap under chassis cleaner to go with these pressure washers..

    • +1

nice find , I could use this

    • +1

Great for washing under the wheel arches and mud flaps too.

  • +1

Apparently this is an often used trick to get u browsing on their site.

    • Made me look…

      • Made me buy…

  • I am in shock at the games SCA play. Their website. Stock levels and general online practices seem dodgy as. Times 1 to 3 fine but these guys are serial offenders. Top of my list for a Shonky Award, just seeing strange things over a long period of time. They should get their act together. This isn't about OP post. Is it just me?

    • I was checking out the $50 pressure washer and this one came up underneath as a suggested ad.

Probably is dodgy SCA luring tactics

    • +1

They have genuine inventory management problems.

I think this problem would be fixed straight away if communicated publicly resulting in adverse share price fluctuations.

As a publicly listed company, senior management needs to focus on accurate stocktaking and adequate stock control.

      • Their ebay store has large numbers of negative feedback due to their inability to provide items that they have sold.

It was down below 95% for awhile there, which is a shocking score. Many people I know won't deal with a seller that has less than 98%.

        • Omg. It's likely worse than that. I'm sure plenty remains unreported. Assume 95% happy though. I don't like the odds that 1 in 20 things I buy ends up in an overall poor experience. Things fail. S$#t happens. But quality customer service can resolve ANY issue essentially.
