Is there an online accounting forum in Australia? I see heaps of IT related forums online but couldn't find one for accounting. If you know of any please let me know. Thanks.

I think the closest you'll get is the Whirlpool finance forum.
That would be one riveting forum.
I don't always make bad accounting jokes, but when I do, they don't add up.
In accounting there are rules and regulations so you follow them or you find loopholes to get around those rules.
For accountants who are affiliated with professional memberships like CPA or ACA we have access to their websites for general knowledge or ideas. Just as important, you learn through your workplace. Anything on the forums, you take it with a grind of salt as they're not authoritative.
I myself is a CPA. I know what you are talking about. There are no limit to the knowledge and ideas you can gather from others ie. Accountants working is different industries, new business ideas. It doesn't always has to be about rules and regulations. I guess there are various reasons for not having a large online accounting forums or any forum at at all in Australia. Although there are overseas based forums.
You can put that suggestion to CPA. Maybe they'll consider it.
I am a member of ACCA in the UK and they have networking events regularly. I think CPA also have one but they're always linked to their courses or their CPA conferences which you have to pay for. They also have business/finance related articles which people can make comments about.
I have been wishing for this idea but for all occupations and types of businesses for years basically a forum or website specifically for all walks of life but individual and separate from one another.
Being able to just talk about a specific subject in life specifically with like minded or like lived others is really amazing and has heaps of potential to influence and improve the process and progress of humanity for life or years to come much love that in how ozbargain has created a specific community and I'm sure has had massive impacts on some of the users and passersby lives this endeavour to create a portal or wide variety of websites specific to an industry would be honestly mind blowing and groundbreaking even in the large scheme of things.
Just look at any large industry or subject specific website right now. Yeah there you go.

I believe it is called ozbargain.
Hoping someone can confirm this is correct J & P both shared equally in both item sold price & expenses. P paid for expenses up front out of his own pocket. When it came to dividing the money it was done the following way.
This is an simple example only.
Rec. expenses
$100 Minus. $10 = $90
$90 divide by 2 = $45
J receives $45
P receives $45 + P paid for expenses out of his own pocket $10. = $55.
Is this done correctly so each have shared equally in the sale and the expenses?
