Why am I adding $3 per pizza when it is meant to be BOGOF? Do we have to pay an extra $3 per pizza after BOGOF if we want to pickup?

    • -1

      They’re the rules knobbs! I didn’t write em’! 😜

  • +1

I Also have the same question about the $3 extra for the pizza. I think its should be BOGOF for large pizzas below and up to $13.95

So $16.95 foe two pizzas? Not too bad I paid the same amount for a bowl of noodle in Darwin food court.

    • What sort of high end food court is this because $17 for noodles is more than you pay at standard restaurants.

      • +1

I know, A bowl of noodle is about $10 in other states but in Darwin it's $13-17.50 in food court and about $17-20 in restaurants. $16.95 is for a bowl of Duck soup from Happy Gardens in Gateway and Casuarina shopping centre.

    • You're doing Darwin wrong if you're buying noodles in a food court. Price at markets is less than half that.

      • Everyone's paying the same not just me. Commodities in Darwin is quiet high.

        • I refuse to believe that the cost of a laksa or mee goreng at Rapid Creek / Parap / Nightcliff markets has more than doubled in the three years since I lived there.

          • @Pantagonist: $12-14 for Laksa in all of those outdoor markets now.

            • @HandsomeMonkey: Just read a one month old review of a laksa place I used to go to in Parap. Mentions $9.00 for a chicken laksa.

              • @Pantagonist: Oh okay, I don't know where this place is. But I can tell you that Palmerston sells all noodle and Laksa for $12+ each..

                • @HandsomeMonkey: Yeah, Palmerston markets aren't the best.

You mentioned buying stuff at Casuarina; Rapid Creek (Sat/Sun) and Nightcliff (Sun) markets are only a few kilometres down the road from there if you're ever up that way on the weekend.

                  • @Pantagonist: I'm in Zuccoli Palmerston and it's about 30km from Parap. Only ever go to Casuarina/Rapud Creek once in a while. Too far to drive!!

  • That's how they lose the competition with Domino's. ;)

Naaaah! Still cheaper than Dominos for 2 large pizzas!

And this deal is until 12th February! Not just Tuesday’s!!

Personally, Pizza Hut is STILL a notch better tasting than Dominos.

      • +1

hope it doesn't end on 12 Feb… it was available for quite a while last year

      • +3

Fully agree. Don't like Domino's taste myself.

      • +2

In terms of my local stores, Pizza Hut destroys Dominos. Dominos pizzas are much thinner and not as filling as Pizza Hut. Pizza Hut defaults to deep pan now for their online orders which is basically what the old Traditional pan used to be.. their Traditional pan now is pretty much Thin crust, and I don't want to imagine how thin their Thin crust is.

Pizza Hut Super Supreme any day of the week over Dominos!

        • +1

Agreed! We went away from pizza hut years ago, but went back the other day and their pizzas are delicious! Much better than Dominos.

    • +1

Was keen to try some peppeonis from Pizza hut but for $5 a pop at dominos probably would stick to them. Could get 3x instead of 2x everyday from dominos.

      • I tried a pepperoni from Pizza Hut the other day for the first time after always getting $5 pepperonis from Dominos, and it seemed like the mozzarella used on the Pizza Hut one was definitely better quality, but overall I would much rather pay the $5 at Dominos instead of the prices they charge at Pizza Hut.

    • -4

      $13.95+$3 for 2 pizzas?hahaha,I can get everyday from Domino's not just until 12th February!ALSO WHY $3 = Free?

      • This deal is equivalent to getting two traditional range pizzas from Dominos for $13.95. To obtain that from Dominos you need a 50% off traditional pizza voucher a (next one is in a few days) and you're limited to the couple of pizzas that are priced at $13.95.

  • +2

Shame it's gonna be a challenge finding a pizza hut. The last of the stores around my area have turned into Domino's.

    • We had an Eagles boys turn into Pizza hut for literally one month and then straight to Dominos. Pizza Hut definitely seem to be on their last legs

    • It really is!
I have one 1.9km away that don't deliver because we're in a different post code ha

    Hot and spicy is awesome

    just ordered, 2 pizza's ($12.95) for $12.95.

    • -2

      Yay! That’s because the T&C’s state -

Cheapest pizza will be discounted. valid until 12/02/2019), add $3 Per Pizza when selecting any pick up pizza OVER $13.95.

Yes, that’s right OVER $13.95. Not all pizza’s are $13.95!!! LOL

      • +1

        Did you miss this part?

Minimum of one pizza out of two to have a standard menu price of $13.95 or above.

Great if it works at a cheaper price, but that's not what the T&Cs say.

        • +3

let me repeat this again, unless it was unclear.

          1. i ordered ONLINE
          2. i ordered 1x $12.95 pizza, then added a 2nd $12.95 pizza.
          3. i paid $12.95
          4. pickup

          my receipt:

          HERE IS WHAT YOU ORDERED

1 X Large BBQ Meatlovers +$12.95 Deep Pan
1 X 2 For 1 Tuesday Large Super Supreme -Deep Pan

          Total: $12.95

Your total order comes to $12.95 including GST

          • +2

@sachz: I'm just going off the T&Cs that OP posted.

As I said, if it turns out you can BOGOF for less than $13.95, that's great.

          • +2

            @sachz: +1 on this

            Also ordered the same pizza.
1 Large BBQ Meatlovers and 1 Large Super Supreme. Only paid $12.95 incl GST.

  • Cart updates and lists the offer as "2 For 1 Tuesday" but the offer seems to suggest that this is available every day until the Feb 12th. Can anyone clarify?

    • -5

Who cares if it says Tuesday special IF you’re getting a pizza for free?!? Like hello McFly…. 🤣

      • Not complaining, just flagging the possibility that it won't be available until next Tuesday if people don't order for tonight which is not what is described in the OP.

Who knows, maybe the offer will change to "2 For 1 Wednesday" tomorrow?

    • +1

Yes it is everyday until 12th Feb, regardless of taco tuesdays. I mean 2 for 1 Tuesdays ;)

  • Was going to order, but looks like Queanbeyan store is gone. Not sure when it closed down.

    • About a month ago based on the last Google reviews.

  • I hate to be one of 'those guys' but last time I got a pizza hut one think it was pepperoni or supreme , it tasted really bad. As in a bad combination of flavours . I do know isn't great pizza but I enjoy dominos way better. Have they changed recipes in the last few years ?

    • +2

You could have just had a bad experience. Fast food is always hit and miss depending on the kitchen hand. I’ve had more horrendous experiences with Dominos than Pizza Hut. Also, you can order double sauce for free with Pizza Hut whereas you can’t even request it with Dominos online portal!

      • Do they put less toppings when ask for double sauce?

    • It’s lucky dip with pizza hut, if the cook is bad you’ll end with a bad pizza. They don’t really have a consistent standard. Sorry I have repeated before reading previous post

  • If you could swap toppings basically for free (depending on value) like you can with dominos I would eat pizza hut more often, but for now I will still stick with dominos.

  • How big is their large pizza compared to dominos?

    • +2

Same size. 11inch. But lots of toppings and the better taste as always.

    • +1

Same size but much more robust when I compare my local stores. Domino's slices can be pretty tiny at times but Pizza Huts never are, I'd say there's a definite weight advantage when comparing the pizzas.

Hope this promo gets people trying Pizza Hut more. It seems they changed hands a few years ago from their parent company Yum! Brands (US based) to Allegro (local). The quality is basically the same as they were pre-handover but I believe their overall image is changing. Domino's has killed it (just look at their share price) in the past 10 years but Pizza Hut make better pizzas IMO.

      • -1

worth it even at $5 for dominos vs $7 for pizza hut?

        • Yeah if money is a big factor then you really can't beat a $5 pizza, depends on what you're after though.

The cheapest pizzas at my local Pizza Hut are Cheese Lovers and Margherita ($8), there's no way you'll get pizzas with three toppings for $8 at Pizza Hut. Overall the quality is much better at Pizza Hut in my experience, but it's kind of hard to say whether it's worth it when you can buy two $5 pizzas (e.g. Beef & Onion and Pepperoni) at Domino's compared to one Super Supreme at Pizza Hut.

Depends if you want more average pizza or less good pizza. Overall I'd say getting one deep pan pizza from Pizza Hut would get you ~3/5 the amount of two $5 Domino's pizzas, if that makes sense (due to how large the pizzas are at Pizza Hut).
