you might as well have a desktop with i7 2600, with <8kb ram, in-board graphics, etc ,etc
Would this run League of Legends without any hiccups? Or would playing games on a laptop for prolonged periods of time in general, cause intermittent problems?
I have an epic PC btw, I just want to know so I can play LoL while on the can.
Will play LoL fine on high. My laptop which has a slightly better graphics card (only about 6-7% better) plays it 60fps and only core 2 cpu.
I think your graphics card is the reason for the ability to play LoL on high, and not necessarily the CPU.

Read some reviews on another K52JT model (having an i7) and it apparently doesn't run games that well, which is due to the under-performing GPU apparently. But if not using for gaming this is a pretty good deal, marginally better specs than my Lenovo G560 which I bought back in January for $500.
Yeah, the GPU is rubbish. Only 64-bit data bus width = major bottleneck. Low-end desktop GPUs are all 128-bit. This card probably wouldn't even be able to run World of Warcraft at any kind of decent speed. I would only buy 128-bit or better in a notebook.

I would say not really. The Core i3 CPU is a major improvement, but the GPU isn't, and is actually weaker than the GT320m.

This has dedicated graphics. I would much prefer an i3 with dedicated graphics than an i5 with on-board. Blu-ray is just a bonus.

Couldn't agree more, dedicated gfx and bluray, wow! And taken into account the government school rebate, end price is around $250.. FANTASTIC, can't beat that; a great unit, so far. Local stores were out of stock but Loganholme had heaps left, so I got lucky.
