Long time member, first time poster.

I moved house and needed a Wi-Fi extender.

Found a great deal on this Netgear router from DeviceDeal Australia (store in Vermont, VIC) link above.

I needed it quickly to sort Wi-Fi issues, and couldn't travel to Vermont so went to Officeworks and price matched and saved $4.95.

  • Listen, I know your new, but you need to put the original price in the title, not the price match price. Your welcome.

  • $99 - $94.05 is a $4.95 saving.. ie, 5% price beat

    • For whoever needs it quickly anywhere in Australia ( as opposed to close proximity to DeviceDeal Vermont) it's a saving of $34. Plus you get better after sales support like malfunctioning unit or other similar issues @ office works.

  • +1

I think for this price you should get Tenda cheap wifi mesh for about $120 on ebay.

  • if your not in melb will be $99 + $11.99 shipping - $110.99 - 5% OW PB = $105.44

  • Seems way too expensive for what it is. I’ve found the xiaomi wifi extender to be awesome, and often found for $10-15 delivered. But think wireless n only so depends if you need that

    • The xiaomi is a N300 device, with a hard limit of 16 devices that can attach, and limited to the 2.4Ghs frequency.

This is a AC1200, dual frequency device.

AC2600 has even more advantages (at a cost), and a few lan ports as an option would improve the network tremendously.

  • From what I can see no LAN port so no option to backbone with ethernet. Just be aware you'll likely halve throughput on one of your WiFi channels doing this.

Netgear's mesh systems are much better or good old wired networking still wins hands down.

For noobs - yes extenders give longer range at significantly reduced data rate on one of the WiFi channels. Just be aware.
