Rechargeable Batteries

I have a "Canon PowerShot A570IS" and it has AA 2100series NIMH rechargable batteries – Worldwide AC 100 V – 240 V input : http://www.evereadyindustries.com/business/batteries/recharg…

The battery dies very fast these days been using it from last 4years now.
I think its time to change/get new rechargeable batteries.

Can you please suggest me which rechargeable batteries I should buy this time?
How much $ I should expect? Any suggestion on particular shop in Sydney?

Can I use a "Quick Charger" to charge an eneloop battery?
Though it is possible to charge an eneloop battery in a "Quick Charger", it is not recommended. We recommend charging eneloop batteries in a NiMh charger that is 2 hours or more. Charging eneloop batteries in a "Quick Charger" can reduce the overall life of the battery. It is strongly recommended to use eneloop, Sanyo or Sanyo NiMh battery chargers. We only warrant eneloop if used with an eneloop, Sanyo or Sanyo NiMh battery charger.

  • I'm a heavy battery user. Eneloop and Powerex/Imedion is top of the line and very reliable. Get it.

  • Four years, hmm, you got your money's worth from that set.

  • Those Energisers were dreadful batteries. Mine have all failed well before normal expected lifetime.

The Eneloops are great because they don't go flat in a week if you don't use them. But remember that cameras still use a tiny bit of power continuously… not particularly significant, but they won't have much charge if you leave them in there for 6 months.
