Hi all, I have an Asus AC68u router that was replaced by Asus several weeks ago as part of the RMA process. The original unit was faulty and I returned the unit to the computer shop who then submitted the unit to Asus for RMA. However the process took a long time and I have to buy another router in the interim as a stop gap measure.
Now that the Asus is back from RMA (it is a shrink wrap unit with the manufacturing sticker stated Mfg 2018), I would like to sell this as I quite like the replacement router that I bought. Several people have asked about the warranty of the router but I couldn't tell.
Anyone know how to check what is the warranty status of an Asus product? I tried to google but could not find links that actually worked. I submitted a ticket to Asus but no reply.
p.s. I checked with the computer store where i bought it from and what they say is that the replacement unit is new and if the router broke again within the 3 years that i bought from them, they will help with the RMA. If the router breaks after that period, they will no longer be involved.
Thanks
I guess if Asus bothered to record the serial number it would only be covered for the remainder of the warranty.
Best case for Asus is the warranty is 3 yrs from manufacture date.
