To be fair, it's a unique whisky. But there are so many good aged Scottish whiskys to enjoy at around this price!
Was at a whisky bar and suggested to have this as a highball. The whisky itself was great, but very mild in a highball.
I have tried this. Its good if you want to try Japanese whisky, but I think price is high, I would go for Green label $60 on offer

Decent whiskey but a shame at aus prices. The off the shelf japan prices under 4500 yen are under $50 aud a bottle which makes this a good drop. Once up to 85 aud it gets alot more iffy with all the other choices out there.
Yeah, I'll rather have the Monkey Shoulder for $50 and only get the Japanese ones when I travel over because the amount they're charging here in Australia vs the price in Japan is too hard to swallow.
Agreed. Got the coffee malt / grain series too can't remember if it's nikka too… i think it was between 55-70?? But basically selling here for 140 aud etc upwards.
