[NSW] Cadbury Dairy Milk with CC's Original - $0.10 @ Coles Miranda

950

Maximise your diabetus today with some cheap chocolate.

I have seen a few of these deals around so I decided to check my local Coles and casually buy 50 blocks for $5…

The taste is well, quite literally chocolate and nachos (for the cc flavour), actually not that bad tbh

Expires today? (the chocolate, not the deal.)

    • That will prevent weight gain.

The laxative effect chocolate past its best before date might bring?

    • Are you asking, or saying? I'd hate to have missed out today, is it still on tomorrow?

      • Asking. Can't imagine they'd be marked down this low just because they're a deleted line.

        • I checked a Coles near me and no luck, but I’m not sure if it was sold out or just didn’t exist anymore :(

    Sorry

Great work on the bulk buy. I don't mind this choc flavor at all, it's a good blend of sweet and savoury.

Also loved the fact it required two bags to carry it all!

  • +1

Don't do it. Think of all that sugar and fat.

      The damage is already done

Why are not collecting flybuys points?

What did Clarisse say of your shopping? To be honest, I would've gone to the self-serve. Or not bought 50 lol.

    • Quid pro quo?

      • +2

"Let us hope both your parents were not deep rollers clarisse"

I bought them for $1 weeks back, it's actually not bad either!

Not a big chocolate eater for health reasons but I did get one of these blocks a few weeks ago and enjoyed it. It must have been a PR fail though because it's being marked down everywhere you look. I thought it was decent.

      • company dump stuff all the time

  • I jUst walked 15 minutes to my local to find the shelves bare but the shelver said they had a big pallet out back to be broken down tonight. Might be bothered to go back in the morning.

  • Why buy plastic bags?

When you're buying 50 that has to be 1-2 boxes!

    • 9.5KG worth. Whew..

      • About 5.5kg of sugar!

Horrible taste and horrible idea, who came up with this rubbish, fire them and burn the choc

What do you think of my idea for White Aero vs Burger Rings?

        Please don't reproduce.

        • If only I could be blessed with your immotility, that just might be possible.

  • Didn't find any at Hampton or Brighton Vic. Boo

  • newb for buying bags

  • did you really buy 50?

  • Got some of these from BigW for $1. Very short dated. Guess they didn't sell well.

To me, it tasted like … chocolate!

Having said that, I tried that dark milk version and thought it also tasted like chocolate!

You know if you buy 50 you don't have to eat them all on the same day right?

    • 50 is like 2 years worth of chocolate for me. The best before is less than a month away. I know they will be fine for a short while after the best before but it's a lot of chocolate.

      • +1

they will be fine for a LONG time after the best before. It's mostly sugar anyway, how much worse can it get?

        • Chocolate can get pretty bad if it's not kept below 20C, even if it's not out of date. Convenience stores are typically hopeless at rotating their stock, anything deeper than three rows will probably have white spots and taste off (and if it's something like cherry ripe, it can start to ferment…).

          • @ssquid: The good kind of fermentation?

            • @ashanrath: Probably more likely to result in incontinence than intoxication, so no.

    Made in China

  • Awful flavour. Yuck. Not even for 10c, life is too short for crap chocolate

  • +1

Strange how these even got through the taste testers and onto shelves. It literally tastes like when youre at a kids party and have a mouthful of chocolate and then move straight onto the chips bowl.

    • Am I the only person that likes combining chips and chocolate? Salty + sweet = amazing.

      • Melt it all down. Bake a cake base, pour in the schlopp and then embed your choice of chips (Salt and Vinegar or Honey smoked ham?). Top with hundreds and thousands and jelly babies if you're not watching your weight or anyone else's health.

  • Anything in WA??

I really like this one (as far as Cadbury goes). They had it at Woolies for $1 today, but couldn't buy it at 1000% markup after having seen this post earlier…

  • I'm surprised so many liked this flavour - I bought a block cheap a few weeks ago (maybe 50¢) but didn't go back because the texture was like chewing chocolate coated glass… Hard pass.

  • I went there and couldn't find any. I guess all gone. Westfield Miranda Coles??

Are you really surprised? This guy cleaned them out.
