Uniqlo - I wear these every day to work - its too hot for more formal business clothes
Vintage, Slim Fit or Ultra Stretch?
I haven't tried Uniqlo chinos but I do like the stretch chinos from other stores. Only problem is I always put holes in the crotch area after rubbing together (I ain't fat, just gym). I feel the stretch material isn't as durable unfortunately.
I would guess that I wear the slim fit - try them all on and see what fits you the best - I don't know what your body type is.
slim fit.. i found the ultra stretch WAY too thin BUT i would have liked for the slim fit to be a bit more slim
Slim fit
I just got myself a Chino; the Ultra stretch … my goodness the waist also stretch; I was surprised 1 size down from my normal size fits me well.
+1 , they last a while.
Am I the only one that find Uniqlo chinos really hard to iron? Could be just me. I have other chinos (mr simple/ben sherman) that are easy, but for some reason I find it hard to get wrinkles out of the Uniqlo ones. Could be my terrible technique haha.
Is the trend now Chino only goes up to just above ankle ? Just like one starred in K-Dramas.
Only if you work in a call centre environment. You have to look cool there.
With dress leather shoes and no socks… Seems to be what one guy wears at my work
Exactly, seems like the ongoing trend nowadays
I'll wait for Uniqlo good deal; thanks folks !
Check Target. They have nice soft and comfy chinos for $29.
Just picked up a pair from Charles Tyrwhitt. Have only had them a few weeks, but initial feedback is very good. I'll be looking to get another pair or two.
How much was it? Do they also do ultra slim (stretch)?
Here's the "extra slim" range CT
When Country Road have em on sale for 60 bucks, i tend to pick them up.
I have a couple of uniqlo ones, but I find the colour fades pretty quickly in comparison.Hallensteins
We get them from Marcs or Country Road :)
Costco - Kirkland Brand (the Costco label)
double this, and also some other brands, always a couple of choices for $25-30 and awesome quality.
Yep I have filled my wardrobe from there, and for some reason the fabric seems to last heaps longer than local products. Mostly American brands so maybe they demand longer lasting textiles? Who knows?
yep, the quality is amazing for the money spent
I can't understand the fascination with uniqlo considering i need to tailor every pair of their pants as they are all too long. Don't have a small waist and be below 6 ft tall.
Maybe those that are tall
Uniqlo will shorten the legs for you for free
Wayver and Mr Simple. Marcs, SABA and CR are good quality, but they don't do a proper 'slim' fit that is tapered through the ankle.
Big fan of the Mr Simple chinos.. they hold their colour for a long time.
