With today's $5 eBay code and free delivery/C&C, this is the cheapest I've seen for the JBL Link 10. Other eBay sellers are still pricier even with those eligible for the eBay POOLTIME code. Officeworks official site, Harvey Norman and GG sites are both selling for $127 (JB hasn't budged as of 12:16PM). The eBay page initially showed "Last One!" both both black and white versions, but on my return, it didn't have that warning.
I've nabbed one of the black ones - been looking for a portable, Chromecast compatible Google Assistant speaker I can move between kitchen and dining area and even to the shower. Reviews are pretty favourable other than some grumbling about the 5 hour battery life (not an issue for me) and the sound being better than a Google Home but worse than Bose or Sonos. Of course, this JBL is cheaper than all of those.
On first look I see that it doesn't include JBL Connect + which is a bugger as I have a JBL Boombox and Flip 4 that I use that with, without writing it off for it is there another way we could connect these speakers up? Would I bluetooth my phone to the Link and then would that bluetooth to the Boombox then Connect + between Boombox and the Flip 4? Instead of getting patio speakers I plan to purchase some more Flip 4's for outside so really banking on using Connect + It seems a lot more consistent with no delay instead of connecting my phone via bluetooth to the units separately.
