    • What size do you have? We purchased the medium firm and we really need the ultra.

Anyone getting a delivery by Hunter Express, hope you don't get this driver LOL https://www.reddit.com/r/sydney/comments/aifwoz/road_rage_fi…

  • +3

Got mine today delivery by Hunter express. Absolute as****es. Refused to come up, tricked me into signing the delivery by pretending to come up but instead dumped it inside the elevator and ran off. Zero integrity did not even tell me upfront that's what he was going to do. I had to drag it all by myself into my apartment, ending cutting my arms trying to hold the heavy box. Honestly, I would not recommend this until they stop using Hunter Express for delivery.

    • +1

I don’t think delivery typically includes inside premises. Just to building, that’s been my experience with major retailers and appliance delivery such as tv and dishwasher

      • +1

I've always got things (including washing machines, fridges, microwaves, sofas etc) delivered into my apartment. This is the first experience I've had with such a shady delivery company.

      • +1

What?? No. Imagine dragging a washing machine or a refrigerator from the pavement! Your comment sounds like Joey telling Chandler the tailor always feels him up the crotch when measuring his inseam; that that's what he thought all tailors did. You've been had, son.

    • Same here, as soon as it went pass the front door he put it down :|

      • Front door of your house/unit not the building

    • when did you guys order? i've order last thursday and it still hasn't come in yet. On the hunter express it just says "on forwarded" since Monday

  • +4

Got mine yesterday. It's really quite firm, almost more than I was wanting absultely thrilled with the quality for the price nmuch better than me last mattress.

    • +1

I thought the same when I got ours, but I love my bed now. (It really does soften up.)

    • Did you get the one in the OP or this one?

  • What have all the side sleepers been buying? Extra firm or normal?

    • Normal, but I'm yet to try it.

  • Are these mattresses suitable for slat based beds?

    • +3

yes…running 2 of our zzz matresses on slat bases

      what they say:
For queen or king size mattresses, an appropriate bed frame includes at least five legs and a rigid centre support that extends from the frame to the ground. For slatted bed frames, if width of slats is less than 6cm, width of gaps between slats should not exceed 6cm. If width of slats is more than 6cm, width of gaps between slats can be more than 6cm but must be equal or less than the width of slats

      • Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced base (king) that matches this?

        • Interested in this too. Looking at a dbl mattress for the spare room. Currently has a queen ensemble, so will need reasonably priced bed/base.

Discovered that Ikea beds are not standard australian sizes, so a non-ikea mattress wont fit… lucky I hadnt pulled the trigger yet.

    useful to new buyers…

    Mattress Care
-After your mattress is delivered we recommend that you air it for 4 hours to freshen and remove any aroma from storage.
-You should also give some time for your mattress filling to settle. You can sleep on it whilst this happens, but don't worry if your mattress feels slightly different after a few night's sleep.
-Use a matching foundation or bed frame designed for your mattress for proper support.
-Use a proper bed frame and centre support beam on queen and king size mattress.
-Keep your mattress clean and use a mattress protector. Stains, soiling, fluid penetration or other signs of abuse may void the warranty and make your mattress ineligible for repair or replacement.
-When you remove your bedding for washing it's a good opportunity to let you mattress air for half an hour or more. We also recommend that you vacuum it every month or two; take care not to damage the outer surface as this can be fairly delicate.
-You do not need to flip your mattress if it is a "no-flip" model. To find out if your mattress is a "no-flip" model, please refer to product description on our website or consult our customer service.
-Carry your mattress upright, on its side. It is easier to handle in this position and less likely to become damaged. If you need to store your mattress for an extended period, please store it flat.
-Don't bend your mattress under any circumstances. This could result in permanent damage.
-Don't allow anyone to stand or jump on your mattress, abuse is not covered by this guarantee.
-Don't use handles when turning your mattress. Handles are intended only to position the mattress.

…hopefully the above answers a few questions regarding setup use and care

Lol, but it's ok for them to tightly wrap it up for postage

    • +1

-Don't allow anyone to stand or jump on your mattress

Too late, few monkeys have already jumping on that mattress :-)

-Don't use handles when turning your mattress. Handles are intended only to position the mattress.

I struggle with my English, "position" and "turning" seem to involve similar movements, and handles are to handle, right?

      • …nfi. i just cut & paste the shit mate :)

  • What mattress are the side sleepers finding most comfortable?

  • Can anyone compare the firmness of this to the aldi boxed mattress?

Im currently using one from aldi and it's the right firmness for me, however i just bought the atelier extra firm and I'm a little worried cause on the thread people have compared it to sleeping on the floor.. lmao

    • +2

I can’t compare this to the Aldi mattresss……however, I have just taken delivery of the “super firm” queen mattress that was linked within the thread. I left it open for two days and then slept on it. It’s the firmest mattress I’ve ever slept on. I saw some comments here that said it wasn’t super firm - but when I get on it, there is no give at all. This evening I tried every firm mattress IKEA and this one seemed significantly firmer.

I think the description on zzzAteliers website for this mattress is spot on..”This mattress is not a for everyone. It has been designed specifically for those who seek very firm mattress. The core support layer of this mattress is made of triple tempered, extra thick coils for maximum support and stability.”

Someone on this thread said that it felt much softer after a week. I may wait a week to see if it does soften, or sell this and purchase the comfort one listed in the title of this post instead. Quality is exceptional for this price but I like something with a little bit of give in it. Reviews of this mattress online are all very positive , I’m just not sure it’s for me.

      • Damn.. I should have read the reviews first. My product hasn't been shipped yet so I'll send them a message now and hopefully they can change it to the standard 34cm 6.5 firm mattress for me… fingers crossed!

  • Fyi

I contacted manufacturer to see if any of there mattress' are suited to some who needs a plush/soft mattress and they confirmed none of their range is that level of firmness.

    • you mean that level of 'un-firmness' ie plush/soft

  • +1

We visited the warehouse on Friday and were able to test both standard and extra firm mattresses and can confirm that the firm is very firm.

We ended up with the 'standard' mattress and we are very happy with it after using it for a couple nights.

We met the owner at the warehouse and he was very accommodating, allowing us to test the mattress and pick it it up the same day (after ordering on eBay). Email communication was always excellent and comprehensive.

    • Where is the warehouse located? Wouldn't mind driving there to test them out

      • You need to contact them on eBay and they'll organise a day and time with you.

  • I've ended up listing ours on Gumtree. Stupidly purchased the medium firm and hating it. I think we should have bought the ultra firm.

I wonder if there will be another 20% off sale anytime soon?

    • +1

they been on sale couple times, it'll be back

  • Just received mine. A section of the top is more puffier then the rest. Like one or two of those circular stitches have come away. Anyone else notice this?

    • sounds a bit weird…the pillow top is softer than the rest of the mattress but it should be fairly even …post a pic?
also have you let it settle after opening etc

      • Yes, let it settle but no difference. Looks quite obvious that the stitching has come away allowing a bulge to form. I haven't used on it yet but don't envisage it will affect sleep. But I've just sent a query to the seller anyway to notify them. Cheers

        • …good idea letting the seller know….see what they say, they may (& should) replace it for you if its a fault

          • +2

@franco cozzo: Looks like I was too hasty. Gave it another 24 hours and the bulge has pretty much disappeared. All good. The seller said it can take up to 7 days for it to settle out. Cheers again
