Oooh I wonder if Toyota will come through as well! This is good news

Would be nice to see the Supra in FH4

    • +5

Apparently Toyota are no longer allowing production cars in video games, only race cars, as it supposedly hurts new car sales (lol just try and make sense of that!).

      • +4

Yeah I know I've heard all the stuff and Youtubers commenting on it.

I'm sure once they're the only brand represented, and with a new sports car in the Supra, they'll change their tune.

Was kinda hoping the Supra could be the hero car for FM8, given timing of both the game and the car would be about the same…

      • Probably because people get nostalgic about the old Supras and Celicas and seek out those old cars instead of new.

        • They might be able to sell new ones if they actually built them.

            • +1

@buffalo bill: Too and they can't build their own engine, must suck being such a small company /s At any rate, I don't expect these to sell in large numbers anyway; people keep harping on about Supras, but how many of them would buy a new one? Heck they wouldn't even buy the old one.

              • +1

@smartazz104: 4.3s to 100km/h wouldn't be bad if that's the figure it delivers (slightly quicker than LSA Clubsport), however at the end of the day, it's a 2 door Toyota with polarising looks. It's not a prestigious marque, such as Porsche or AMG Merc. It will need to be priced accordingly to sell.

      • +2

Aww man, gone are the Gran Turismo 1/2 days of buying obscure Japanese economy cars. Only reason I know about a Daihatsu Move is because of that game.

  • Ah, in~game redemption system… bugga

    • +4

If you buy the game down the track, it'll just be in-built I'm sure

Went to my local Mitsubishi Dealer and he was unable to price match

    • I am pretty sure they would match … but most likely out of stock on these models.

    • -1

      You are doing it wrong…

Ozbargain quote "try price matching at Officeworks.."

  • Took forever to bring the Mitsubishi’s to FH4!! Made me go back to FH3

  • Noice, very good, GTO too!

  • Finally!

  • Evo 6 gsr over a TME!?

    • +5

My understanding is that Mitsubishi and Toyota refused to grant licences to include their cars… at least until now. Hopefully Toyota come on board too.

Would you prefer to pay for them? Why the animosity over a free gift?

      • He must be offended due to the hard work and effort he puts into his… oh wait he's just an armchair critic.

  • +6

I have no interest in cars at all and I don't ever play racing games but I am really tempted to get FH4 because it looks so beautiful!!

    • It's a great game. I'm not hugely into cars or racing, but FH4 is my go to game when I just want to play a quick session of something.

    • +3

It's very pretty! So was FH3, FH4 just offers better hills etc, it's not all flat like FH3.

I really hope Playground listed to what people wanted (hoped) for FH4, and set FH5 in Japan…

      • +1

The tight cities of Japan with the crazy motorways and the awesome hill climbs would be perfect.

        • +1

And wouldn't it be good if they threw in neons as a modification option… Would instantly be a NFS:U2 remake, but oh so much better than a remake!

    • +2

It is a very good looking game, I have several hundred hours in it and can say it still amazes me at how good it looks!
Plus for me personally I like to just aimlessly drive around and listen to music

      • +1

        Sounds like my misspent youth.

        • +1

Still is and was misspent youth/time for me hah

    • You didn't sign up for GamePass for $1 for a month? I played it through GamePass and had a lot of fun (I'm not good at racing game BTW).

      • Wasn't it only for the first month?

    • It's a fun game.
Multiplayer is a major dissapointment. However, if you go into it looking for a quality single player racing game, I don't think you will be disappointed.

    • I play it when I'm really bored and having nothing else to play. It's a nice game with good graphics, fun driving and good music.

    Other Improvements:

"· The ‘Carlton’ and ‘Floss’ avatar emotes are no longer available."

    heh

    • They don't want to be sued like fortnite

  • +1

Mitsubishi used to be so good :'(

  • I've got this game, can someone explain to me how to download this??

    • +1

Open the game and it should be there. It's just part of one of the usual updates

  • I'm confused from reading this + comments… did Forza not include Mitsubishi and Toyota cars in the game? (I thought they're a staple)

    • +2

Exactly right. Toyota just stated it didn't improve their sales or something. Mitsubishis were seen in early footage of the game but must not have agreed on licensing costs

      • I loved FH3 because I could drive an Evo X around Australia (reliving my younger days) but I didn't realise this didn't come with newer FH games! Glad they brought it back… for when I eventually get around to buying FH4.

    • +1

That is correct both manufacturers are not present in the game. It's probably something to do with licencing as they are both in Gran Turismo Sport.

  • When can I download this
    ?

  • No magna :(

    • TP wagon…
      mmmmm sexy

shame they didn't make an AWD TJ wagon
      .

    ……..

  • Hi, I'm not a Forza guy, but I'm having fun with this game, how do I get this pack?
I opened the game today and could not find

    Thanks

    • +1

Somehow it is still not available online yet

but can do the following in the game:

Update the game if you haven't
      Start the game
      Go to Marketplace
Claim the free Mitsubishi Car Pack
After it is downloaded, go to Festival
      Go to Autoshow
      Purchase the free cars

      • Thanks, After I posted here I decided to open the Microsoft Store to see if it had updates, and I updated the game (3.76GB) and other apps.
Usually I don't open the Microsoft store, I thought the updates were automatic.

        Thanks anyway.

      • Can't see the Mitsubishi Car Pack in there for me.

  • marketplace is greyed out for me :(

    • No problem for me. Maybe check network/xbox live.
