      Got a free tablet that way from old Dick Smith. They just gave me the money back when I showed they had incorrectly stated the OS on their site.

      Should be easy with Kmart as it is their error. Buy with credit card for better protection. Take a screenshot now of Kmart specs or print - they may change.

      Enjoy the profit, but recharge the SIM & wait (3d for details of how to redeem) for the gift card first😉

      Just received the similar spec Essentials Plus phone delivered from Telstra. It's also an Alcatel rebadge. It's sluggish & poor screen viewing, but had the advantage of being free👍

  May be better offers to come like last year?

  Most reviews are not good.
  Check out OzBargainers comments like Takes forever just to boot up and making basic calls and sending texts is a huge effort. Plugging in for the entire night does't fully charge this waste of matter but it sure drains after a couple hours unplugged. Microphone and speakers are useless and very hard to get the message across. Randomly turns itself off and the battery goes from 60% to 40% to 20% to off within a matter of minutes. Not worth the time.

  I'll buy anything cheap, but Alcatel have always produced low quality cr*p. Usually dissappointing, weak products.

  Is the NFC and HD issue possibly a variant? So beware the 'return item' scam approach.

    Optus supply these to Kmart & so many other stores, so specs are as per Optus site. It's an error on Kmart site.
    I looked into this for a surprisingly cheap NFC phone (after gift card). It's not available & not an Optus variant.

    Returning a wrongly promoted product for a refund is your consumer right, not a scam, under ACL Consumer Guarantee.
    Products must match descriptions made by the salesperson, on packaging and labels, and in promotions or advertising

    But it's a bit of effort & wait to get Optus SIM & $50 gift card for $30.
