OP I think you might wan to update title.
The picture says original price is $399 not $499.Updated! The Aldi deal was originally $499 then $399 now $299, but $399 is the ticketed price.
Yeah, been reduced all over - had them at a couple in VIC before Xmas but sold out when I went back.
For anyone seeing this who doesn't know… they're NOT very good quality but a fair few folk are buying the SF2 cabinet (has most buttons) and then ripping out the guts and putting in a Raspberry Pi i(running Retropie) to get a full-on retrogaming system for not too much money. You do need to buy a couple of bits (controller encoder, monitor interface) but it's all plug-and-play and if you've ever fancied a (small) arcade cabinet and don't have the woodworking chops, this is a great way to do so.

I've seen them as low as $200 at Aldi, another store in town was $249, hoping they drop down closer to $100-150 to justify swapping in a Pi.

Other option is a pandora box system from ebay and at least you can put it away for those of you short on space,

Plenty of them in Albury, Lavington, Wodonga and West Wodonga stores all at $299 for any Riverina or North East Victorian Ozbarganiers.
I saw these reduced at a local store for $249, possibly maybe returns also after they unboxed and found they're 3/4 size of a real one.
Also saw a guy selling one on facebook for $799, obviously thinking he can make some money off it.
I’ve seen plenty trying to sell these ar RRP on gumtree, Facebook etc.

Yeah on Gold Coast have seen $399 and $299 hoping for a drop to $149, I have a couple of Jamma Multiboards best to limit the games you have once you go mame or retropie all you do is collect games and give them 5 seconds of play. I had more fun with a limited selection like the 19 in 1 or 60 in one Jamma boards than the Pandoras box..
Aldi at Loganholme has about 6+ stacked so I'm hoping they will discount next week or so :) I'll try and PM you if they do
Games included: Street Fighter, another Street Fighter and more Street Fighter…. As much as I like Street Fighter game, I'll wait and hoping for the Final Fight + Ghosts ‘n Goblins + Strider + 1944 combo from the Arcade1Up website to be available.
With the poor sales I don't think we will see any more 1ups at least not from Aldi
Unless you really want one I'd wait, some places have had them at $150 . I got it for 250 2 weeks ago , very good value considering full sized one would cost 2k+ watch out though paint is already rubbing off around the stick

bought one @$299. for Gauntlet…only 2P although x3 controllers..(. Rampage works well on x3P.)and extra food only appears in arcade 3+ players. also well known bug in USA and here on first release machines is -game will undoubtedly freeze/stop between levels 16-31. it was at lvl 30 for me. so i dont think 1up will be rushing renewed motherboards to Oz to fix and i dont think they can fix it any other way…Defender is almost impossible to play as thrust button right next to control stick. But if i ever saw it <$249 or less (others have reported it as low as $199 and even $149) id be temped again for sure.
If anyone sees it for $150 or below, would you mind taking a photo of it with the price and posting it. Sold out around my local.
