Wired is having a New Year's Sale, 50% off a 1 year digital subscription being US$5. You can also choose to the have the dead-tree version shipped to you as well for a total of US$35. GST didn't apply when I ordered the former.

Your subscription will auto-renew but cancelling auto-renewal is easy via the Customer Care portal at https://w1.buysub.com/servlet/RegistrationGateway?cds_mag_co…. No idea if they store credit card details but it seems like they silently do; they're not shown anywhere and there's no option to set or update them if they do.

    Wired have some really good journalism these days, I've been really impressed with what they're doing. It's one of the few sites that I pony up the cash for.

      I doubt they'll mail you the phone charger in Australia. Seems to be US only.

        Yep, that's right: "First issue mails within 6 weeks. You will receive your exclusive phone charger within 4-6 weeks after being charged. Offer valid in U.S. only."
