Try going indirectly. There's regular sitewide deals for gift cards on eBay - buy some (15% off was recently, so plenty of sellers) and then buy Uber cards from there.
Look also at PayPal digital gifts - sometimes have promos for uber.Other options:
Qantas - 19,000 pts for $100 (doesn't sound a great deal to me, but hey the options there)
Woolies/Coles - bonus points (= money) with gift cards
Shopback gives $0.20 cashback for existing customers.
seems like you missed out on the 5-10% sale at target.
