Sounds like it has been recalled due to a noticeable fault. https://www.stereo.net.au/news/jvc-puts-quality-ahead-of-pro…

    • Holy shit!!the top of the range Sony one is 36 grands RRP.

    • There's not a single mention of a recall in there. Just that they've ceased production until they fix the issue in later models.

      • Ok… unreleased?

      • Semantics.

I'm blown away with my JVC. Best purchase I've made in years. Highly recommend their products. So I'm glad they've pulled the pin on this model, until they get it sorted.

I saw this news a few weeks back, but there was basically no info included.

Great price! I'll get 1 for the patio, 1 for the bedroom, 1 for the lounge.

    • don't forget the kids' rooms as well.

    • I need to build a bigger patio, but it'll be worth it!

      • +1

Forgot to say ive got to build the house 1st

What's wrong with you man. Just go downtown and pitch your tent on the footpath across the road from an office building and project away. You’ll likely need a generator as well.

          • @Lon Chaney: A true ozbargainer would run an extension cable from the office they were projecting onto.

      • Just beam it onto a cloud. It's called, "Cloud Projecting".

  • So cheap..Will buy 5. Need this for next year’s Xmas gifts

    • Will you povos stop flexing your credit cards. Paying cash for minimum 10 or don't bother.

      /s

  • thanks, but i prefer vr in living room with family, soon home theater room become obsolete.

Sorry to neg but product has been withdrawn by JVC

"Upon commencing mass-production of the projectors we discovered some unwelcome phenomenon that would have led to a less than perfect user experience with the projector"

This is where allowing your name on a $200 tv from BIG W muddies the waters.

Yes, i had an old JVC 6 head VCR, i paid a premium as it was the best at the time, also with my video camera, not anymore.

    Sellouts.

    • +1

The company still makes projectors, but the TVs are made under licence by other companies.

    • Personally, I put very little faith in badges/BRANDS. No blind faith or hate here.

I never aimed for a JVC projector, or head unit for my first car. I was healthily sceptical, due to no-one I know having a single item of theirs. Same with my Panasonic "DSLR". Stars aligned, absolute best options on the day.

I do my usual research, and let others guinea pig for me. "measure twice, cut once" as they say.

  • All i can say as in title DLA-N5 4K High Resolution Projector Black-AVAILABLE 2019, hopefully issue will be fixed before mass shipping

Still a good price as it wont be available at same price after launch.

Negging because JVC Australia will not release in Jan. I suggest people call JVC before ordering as currently there is no official ETA

should i buy a car or project a 4k car
    tough decision indeed.

    • The projected car will likely have lower fuel and maintenance costs…

      • it will also mean we can go to redcartube and daily get a new model

  • Give me time to save up for a 15m HDMI Fibre cable…

Wouldn't but from these unethical pricks. If want a same or better deal buy from a stereonet sponsor projectorscreens.com.au who offers 100 times better customer service.

Even Rio will match or better this price

    • +1

Unethical pricks? OK, spill. There's obviously a story here…

      • From my Google review. Ended up going to Rio and were more than happy to take my money and the aftresales service has been amazing. Klapp will never get a cent from me and will akways share my experience with others

        Review:
Dishonest and shifty jacking prices. Had price on website and ebay then when i mentioned ebay code they quickly pulled the ebay listing down then jacked their prices up. When challenged they stop replying to my emails. Purchased the same item $5000+ projector from their competitor who were happy to have my business. Avoid at all costs.!!!

I wouldn't waste money on 4k. There is almost no source filmed in 4k and your eyes aren't that good. 1080p is plenty for 99% of the population.

  • +1

4K isn't the reason to upgrade, HDR on 4K is, 10bit and the coming 12bit with HDMI 2.1 standard that should start making its way into products enmass in 2019 is what I am waiting for
