Found this, I guess its a good price compared.
bought the kit from a myer deal a few weeks back. Any idea how many shaves you should get before having to replace the blade?
looking at the reviews, should last 4 months if used 2-3 times a week!
I use my just to tidy and trim beard. I've had the blade in there over a year. Bought mine from Amazon us when theny weren't readily available here. Only on to my second blade in like 18 months.
I’ve used mine for the last 5 months. Twice a week at least. And now it’s due for a replacement. I absolutely love this shaver. Doesn’t shave quite as good as a razor but it works very very well.
Wondering if I should recommend this to son who is an irregular shaver.
What is good about this shaver over conventional disables?
I find it's impossible for me to cut myself with this shaver. I have a bad back so I can't lean over when shaving so this is a life saver for me. Like I said earlier if you want a super smooth face this isn't for you. If you don't mind about a millimeter of hair left after the shave it's perfect.
@norkle: I think so yes. It takes a shave or two to get used to it. It shaves more like a razor than other electric shavers. Except it's very hard to cut yourself. For the price of it I'd definitely give it a go. I find each person's facial hair is different and possibly that means a different shaver will suit different people but for me this one is absolutely perfect for my needs.
@norkle: Its probably one of the best. Wait for the sale tho, was $39 on amazon few days ago for the kit!

the new trimmer plus 2 blades was $39 on boxing day but 2 blades was 44 !!
I paid $39 for mine on Amazon during the black friday sales. Absolutely love it, use it about 3 times a week just for a bit of a tidy up but twice a week still go for a smooth shave with gel + Gilette Fusion blades which I buy in the bulk packs from ShaverShop, with cashback and shipster of course.

I'm pretty sure the missus wants some other stuff from BigW anyway but she's snoring on the couch, and BigW customer service just closed (2pm here in WA), so I'll cop this one on the chin (without cutting myself, it's almost impossible). It's still a huge improvement over the usual $39 these blades cost.
