LastPass is free and auto syncs across platforms. What does this give me the extra cost?

Would like to know the same, but with KeePass.

Enpass user here, and ex LastPass user. I believe one of main difference with Enpass is you determine where your password database is stored. eg you can put it on a cloud service (Dropbox, Google Drive etc) or on your own server. I switched over when Lastpass was sold to LogMeIn a few years ago. From what I read, that company has some fairly shady business practices - not something I want to entrust my password data with.

        • KeePass does cloud database storage and sync.

    Bitwarden is free and better

    • I just switched completely to bitwarden the other day. Was a bit scary to see my entire 10+ years of lastpass laid out in plain text in the export. Next step is self hosting.

      • How could LastPass export in plain text?
        Was it hacked?

        • No, there's an export option. It does it client side.

I am confused at how this is a deal. The app itself doesn't seem to be on special merely Google are giving rebate on apps and this is one of millions I can use it on??? Am I missing something?

    • +1

If you're missing something, then so am I. Seems like op is associated

      • -1

I am not associated I just have it installed and thought it is a good deal.

My first post, please go easy on me

The app premium is currently 50% off as per website https://www.enpass.io/pricing/

I cannot comment on other password managers as I have not used the others as mentioned above. Will let our fellow ozbargainers decide if it is worth as a bargain.

My apology if I did not answer any questions.

    • That link says the price for the upgrade to premium has been reduced from $11.99 to $5.99. Is that US dollars? Is the $8.49 price just the normal price or is it after a discount? What is the normal price in AU dollars? Your post should include that information. If AU$8.49 is just the normal price then this is not a deal.

  • I actually use Enpass because it's one of the few products that has proper Windows 10 Hello integration

  • KeePass2 Android Offline user for years.

  • Note that the price is actually US$5.99 per platform. So if you want to integrate with the pro version on PC, it costs an additional AUD$9.05
