Xiaomi Mi Anti-Formaldehyde Filter for Air Purifier $39.00 + Postage (Free w/Shipster) - Kogan

180

Just grabbed a Xiaomi Mi Anti-Formaldehyde Filter at Kogan for $39.00 shipped free using my free trial of Shipster.

Seems like a really good price for a genuine filter if you can use the free shipping option with Shipster and still a good price if you have to pay the $9.00 shipping.

I have one for my hayfever and it's great and as a bonus, we moved in to a new build and the yard is a dust bowl and the dust has been absolute minimal in my living room where I have the unit placed.
Have extended the use of my 'basic' one that came with the unit, by giving it a vacuum occasionally, but I'll need a new filter soon and $39.00 delivered for a genuine filter looks good to me!

EDIT - I forgot to say that they have the 'purple' Anti Bacterial version for the same price. Do check out the specs of each colour to see what suits you best.

From the web page….
The Xiaomi Mi Anti-formaldehyde Filter for Air Purifier features a 3-layer filter design that effectively removes pollutants from the air.

  • Unique bucket-shaped filter
  • 3-layer filter design
  • Removes formaldehyde, PM2.5 and other pollutants from air
  • Filters out 99.99% of organic matter
  • Easy to install

The Xiaomi Mi Anti-formaldehyde Filter for Air Purifier consists of 3-layers: elementary filter cloth, efficient filter material and activated carbon filter. The first layer filters out hair, paper pieces, etc, while the second layer can effectively remove dust and pollen from air. The activated carbon filter is used to absorb other harmful substances from the air and gives you fresh and clean air to breathe in.

    thx op. good price

Kogan also has the purple one for the same price, which does all that green does plus adds an anti-bacterial treatment that apparently eliminates bacteria and airborne pathogens.

    • +2

The purple one does lack the extra filter inside the green one. Both are good deals regardless.

      • Yep, apologies, I forgot to mention the purple one in my submission. Just did an edit.

The 'green' one is the better bargain if you are looking at the pricing structure of the 3 available filters, when shopping around.

        • Is it the most effective though?

And is it unable to catch bacteria or whatever the purple one is marketing?

          • @lostn: Depends on what you define as the most effective. The green one is best if you want a HEPA filter and the purple is best if you want to target bacteria and dust mites.

            • @Clear: Purple has no HEPA?

They should have done an ultimate all in one.

              • @lostn: EPA just like the original blue. If the black filter in the green one could be sold elsewhere or just recycled and stuck in the purple it'd be good.

                • @Clear: What's your PM2.5 level with the green filter?

                  • @lostn: Not currently using green but my blue is around 30.

                    • @Clear: I believe the WHO recommends 10 or less for clean air.

                      • @lostn: That's the downside of these Xiaomi Air Purifiers, their sensors are very inaccurate. You're better off with one of their dedicated readers or something else third party.

  • which machine do these filter fits in?

Xiaomi Air Purifier 1, 2, 2S and Pro. The Max uses a different filter.

    • so obvious, you made my day

    • Why not both

    • But Xiaomi doesn't make plants… Yet

  • i purchased the purple one for $39 from kogan about 4-5 months ago … usual price i think?!

    • +1

Would be nice if they had washable ones to get more then 6 months out of them

  • are you sure the green one is better, as the rrp is less then the purple one

    • Apologies. I think you are correct. Edited my description.

  • Thanks OP for this. I bought the purple one as our unit is in our bedroom, and the purple one is best for dust mites. Found a review on the following link that outlines the differences.

air purifiers are a joke. as soon as the seal of the room/house is broken dust will flood in.

    • +2

same as the vacuum cleaners. If you use them on a regular basis they can make a big difference though!

    • Air purifiers are still better then no filter at all.

These are great if you cant afford a full ducted A/C or HVA system that has their own filter as by the way

How do you add shipster to the checkout?

    • +1

As long as your shipster email address is the same as your Kogan email address, the delivery cost should show as free automatically when you are on the checkout page. See image below:

      • Correction, i found where i was going wrong, Shipster only works if the shipping is under $20 otherwise its not covered.

I have to reduced the amount in cart to bring the shipping cost down

        • I signed mine up on the yearly free trial too, and this is my very first order with free shipping on shipster. Are you sure you are on the checkout page? It will still show the delivery cost at the "Shopping Cart" page.

          • @sschen: I was over the $20 max shipping, which was why it wasnt working. Once i reduced it down to 2 items shipping came down to $15, so just had to make 2 lots of purchases

    • It seems doesn’t work with Kogan app, gott do this on the website
