    • +11

Lol downvoted for hugs and kisses.

      • Maybe people got offended because you wrote XXX at the start lol

  • Arrrr, ordered 7 minutes ago and been charged.

    • +2

      Cancel the order

      • +1

        Can't once it's been charged

        • +10

You can - just talk with customer service. Their service is quite spectacular.

          • +3

@MJ1: They were very helpful, thanks. All cancelled and redone.

        • Cancelled my XM3 3 weeks ago order because my gf has prime. They complied

  • +2

I'm getting 403 Forbidden from the CR website. Anyone else?

    • Same here … not sure why you got a neg vote.

      • +3

        talking about 403 is Forbidden

      • I was having the same issue.
The website is not loading if you are based in India or Indonesia (Perhaps other locations too).
Using a VPN and "moving" to Australia should fix the issue.
        I hope that helps :-)

        • +1

Yeah - i used a US VPN to get around it.

  • Hey, TA - what do you think about the Shopbacks recent aggressive customer acquisition strategy. Has it affected CR and the promo's you're organising?

    • They won’t answer.

      • +1

They will answer! With more CASHBACK!!!

        • Personally much prefer CR over Shopbacks even they have better offers… ;-p

          • +3

@watson4884: I prefer Shopback because Shopback don't spam your inbox from day 1, then demand that you log into your account in order to unsubscribe from emails. Massive put off.

            • +1

@[Deactivated]: I've had the opposite. Can't remember unsubscribing from CR, but get tonnes of emails from Shopback.

              • +1

@readeral: Had a few from Shopback and I clicked unsubscribe. Problem solved.
Had a few from Cashback and they said I need to log into my account and change my preferences. Not good enough in this day and age.

    • +5

yea lets just share our plans and strategies on a public forum coz someone is a little curious …
      gee you think?

      • Absolutely. Besides, it's upto TA / CashRewards to answer or not. Being secretive is no longer desirable and probably never was; Especially when the answers to these types of questions are quite obvious. (Of course Shopback being aggressive is noticed and affects CR's bottom line)

Being open and transparent wins customers.

        • +3

Being open and transparent wins customers

What an utter load of rubbish! Is Apple open and transparent? Is Google? What about Samsung? How about Harvey Norman? None of these companies is lacking customers.

In what way can CashRewards be more open and transparent?

Being open and transparent is a surefire way to kill a company.

(profanity), I literally did an order this morning and shipped about 30 mins ago.

Oh well! Thanks for the great work - if only the payout was quicker!

    • I believe they have to wait until they’ve passed the standard returns date for amazon to pay up.

  • -7

    about time

    • now we have to wait for the amazon deals which hardly come.

    • +1

People here seem very sensitive about criticism of CR. Probably because TA is an active member of OZB. Shopback (of which I'm not a member) has had 10% (albeit with a cap) cashback since 26/12.

      • +1

        Is 6% currently

      • -2

Agree, surprisingly CR increased the CB after boxing day sales.

More like "much too late to the party" marketing strategy

        • More like "much too late to the party" marketing strategy

Same could be said about your good mate H. Owait… silence.

          • -1

            @Clear:

Same could be said about your good mate H. Owait… silence.

nah cuz, no need for silence, who is this good mate H. you speak of

            • @easternculture: Should have said GH my apologies.

              • @Clear: and who is GH. just say what you want to say cuz and stop beating around the bush

              • -1

@Clear: Still waiting on your reply.

Otherwise please stop trolling to my comments if you can justify and prove your claims

                Have a nice day

                • +2

@easternculture: please stop threadcrapping based on years old grudges and jealousy? You think people don't notice you do this at every given chance when TA posted a deal?

Figure you suddenly have a lot more spare time now that the referral rorting has been fully stopped.

  • +1

Grabbed the Sony 55" X70F. Thanks!

    • Same hopefully I luckily re-read the criteria as I already had it in the cart.
Hopefully after removing it, closing the browser down and starting it all again it tracked…

      • Should be fine. I usually do the same - remove from cart, close the tab, go back to amazon via cashrewards, and then add to cart again. Always tracks but takes a day or two to show up

        • Should be, but I did it all so quick now I'm really not sure now
Too bad its sold out and I cant cancel and do it again…

    • Link to the Tv?

      • Sold out. I bought 3 hrs ago at 5% cash rewards

  • +2

    GoPro Hero 7 please🙏🏻

    • -1

      This.

  • +2

Hope you had a happy and safe Christmas too TA.

    • -1

Evidently TA's Christmas was safe enough given this post is only a couple of hours old!

      • I would expect TA to be posting deals on his death bed. Haha.

  • +4

Thanks TA. I read from one member’s comment on Ozb that there will be no more cashback from Amazon next year. Hopefully you can confirm this is not true.

    • +1

That's just speculation from someone that thinks Amazon won't provide cashback eventually as they are gaining more and more traction in Australia.
I highly doubt it's an official thing.

      • Hope that you are right as they didn’t provide any evidence.

    • +5

Thanks TA. I read another member's comment on OzBargain that there will be 100% cashback from Amazon next year. Hopefully you can confirm this is true.

      • Sorry no 100% cashback, only 420%

  • Can always count on Cashrewards for the awesome discounts, too bad The sale on the Lenovo Carbon X1 I wanted is no longer on sale. Cashrewards over Shopback any day.

    • +1

Discounts are one thing, denied cash back, another.
I'm currently waiting to see if CR's past poor performance on sorting out a sale that didn't track even though I did everything right is repeated.
I'm hoping my previous problems were one offs because I want to see competition. I've also had two sales not track with SB, customer service was quick, polite, efficient and sorted things out easily.

      • +2

All cashback companies use the exact same tracking system - the affiliate networks each store are using.

One common thing people overlook is their antivirus. Which one are you using?

  • Woohoo, was looking at some gear this morning, just went back to purchase. Thanks TA.

  • Perfect to stock up on Pampers nappies. Sad I know!

  • Amazon upping their game. With EBAY offering 0% cashback, it sure is tempting to switch teams.

    • +7

Amazon all the way, especially with their customer support and prime shipping times.

  • So iI can’t use my credit as part of the payment…. :(

  • Dam, had to come one day later..

  • +1

Woo hoo, have been holding off ordering hoping for an increased cashback!

  • Thanks TA, loving Cashrewards and Amazon!

  • Only reason why we have an increase is because of shopback. CR not looking after it's customers until competition arrives lol.

    • Shopback had a cap of $50.

      • -1

Shopback is the future of rewards unless CR gets more aggressive. Mark my words.

        • I don't know man, I mean they had 10% no cap return on Amazon back on the 17th of December. When boxing day arrived they changed to 10% with $50 cap. That don't look like the future to me. Looks like cash grab over taking care of their customers…

          • @parallelparadox: CR has been around for a while they can take a hit considering how many people have large sums in their accounts. Shopback is new and already taking big losses, they have deep pockets will take over eventaually imho.

            • @moneyhungry: What I explained above and the reason the rep gave when I asked was 'We need to control our margins..' meant they lost me as a customer. Deep pockets doesn't mean anything if all you do is line up your pockets.

            • +1

@moneyhungry: They can afford to make a large loss because they have lots of customers that they owe money to? What sort of screwed up logic is that?

The money has to come from somewhere, they can't pluck it out of the air.

        • Shopback is the future of rewards unless CR gets more aggressive. Mark my words.

          Marked them with red…

        • +5

I agree, CR didnt honor too many of my legitimate purchases…

    • +3

You have a short memory don't you? Cashrewards had increases all the time before Shopback were even on the scene. Just go through all the old posts and you'll see.

Example time. Cashrewards in 2016 with increases. Shopback in 2016… sorry 2018 because that's when they launched.

  • +1

Thanks TA saved me some $$$

  • -1

This is clearly amazon against ebay 10% current offer.

  • Cool!
    How about a Sony increase beyond 6%, TA :)…hey, don't ask don't get :)

    • +8

Best I can do for Sony is 7% from 5PM to 11:59PM AEDT. Hope it helps :)

      • +2

        Thanks - unexpected! Happy 2019!

        • -4

Make sure to check shopback, i bet they are at 10%

          • +3

            @moneyhungry: 4.5% is 10%? nahhhhhhh

          • +3

            @moneyhungry: How's that 10% coming along?

            • @Maverick-au: I think he might have been telling a fib 😂😂😂

              • @Clear: I'm wondering why he's not responding after he was so certain that ShopBack was going to increase their rate to 10%?

Was he trying to stop people from using CashRewards? Does he work for ShopBack? Very unusual.

  • +13

I have no allegiance with CR or ShopBack. Whichever gives me more cashback is who I use. I’ve honestly had more luck with tracked purchases from ShopBack than I have with CR lately.

    • CR has been super slow for me too :(

  • +1

Thanks. Bought some accessories for the ipad which I just bought.

  • Ordered $3,000 on Wednesday from third party Amazon seller. There is a "Request cancellation" button but not sure if still can be cancelled or not. Live chat not available at the moment….

  • i dont what to buy….

  • **** part of me wanted to hold off that Sony tv purchase because of this!!! Damn it!!!!
