Apparently it's a 2016 model and people have a lot of problems with it..

  • Don't get it. I have one and every time I go to check the video it is missing the video I want . Sometimes it doesn't record… Unreliable

tbh is there any advantage to buying a GPS these days? if you can afford a car chances are you already have a GPS capable smartphone, they seem almost obsolete

    • For the elderly it's better.

    • This is a GPS dashcam.

Also if you go on drives or go camping, there are many areas you go to that do not have mobile reception.

This is where a GPS car nav device helps.

    • gps is always there and ready to go, phone you need to put into the cradle , which can be an even a bigger nuisance if phone is kept in protective flip case, then you get out of car and need to take it with you and put back into a case ….

i like my gps that is suction cupped to the windscreen, old garmin (6 yrs) with life time maps

down side of gps is you can’t find kfc or maccas by name and it works out a path, google maps does.

      • It would also be true that a gps like this has no idea if there are traffic slowdowns or accidents and so it will plot a course straight into non moving traffic?
I assume that would be true, although I think I've heard of car gps's having a built in radio that can get updates, but that might be rare

  • This is a DASH CAMERA, no "Nav" included.

    OP, please be clearer.

  • The Navman Mivue700 with 1080p full HD is currently on clearance @ Target for $51

    • The 630 is probably better value, as it incorporates GPS.

  • keep away, i have had 2 MIVUEs and they both eventually pack it in, screen goes crazy like (static), freezing, and corrupted cards. I keep away from this Brand.

    • My experience has been different.

An earlier model (358) has given me no trouble (besides the poor battery life) in 5 years of use.
