LG B8 65" OLED TV $2784 + Delivery @ Videopro Online eBay (Excludes NT, WA, SA, TAS)

700
PLUGIT20

Looks like VideoPro have dropped the LG 65 B8 another $200 compared to this deal. Cheapest price it's been so far.

$77 delivery to NSW for a total of $2,861.00.

Was hoping the C8 would drop below $3000 during Boxing Day, but stock has now been replaced by the B8 and the differences are very minor so picked this one up instead.

Last day for the 20% off coupon.

How long took them to deliver it to you ?

  • woah great price. wish it was c8

    • From what I can tell, the only differences are the stand cosmetics and a modified version of the Alpha 7 processor used in the B7/C7 models compared to the newer Alpha 9. But none of the reviewers or comparisons I've read mentioned anything about performance impacts from that, and it's still rated as one of the best TVs on Rtings.com

Cheapest the C8 got to was $3200, so for $400 cheaper the B8 seemed worth it to me.

      • Isn’t the C8 stand designed to send the sound out in front of the TV?

I wanted the C8 for the faster processor which I assumed would be better for gaming with. But because the B8 is at such a lower price right now I couldn’t resist. Hopefully I love it. And hopefully the C8 doesn’t go on sale anytime soon otherwise I’ll have to go to my angry dome.

  • How about B8 vs the Sony A8F?

    • I would have got the B8 if it wasn't for the half price deal from Sony for the A8F. There's not much difference between those in terms of quality. LG OS is pretty good but then it lacks few apps. Sony runs on Android and has heaps of quality apps and support. The remote in LG is light years ahead though as it acts like a mouse. In short you have to choose between them based on your usage. If all you want is great picture quality with popular apps such as Netflix and such easily go for this one.

Man I prefer the C8.. might have to get an E8 if I want another TV.. that alpha 9

    • Honestly if none of these manage to support HDMI 2.1 connections via a firmware update, they're a bit shit as a long term buy.

  • Would have grab this in a heartbeat had it not news about image retention being an issue with OLED.

    • It really isn't an issue.

      • I have Minecraft hearts permanantly burned into my E6 but they're only visible when it's trying to show something at peak red in their space.
Would still pick an OLED over any other TV. No regrets.

        • My 2016 b6 has no retention despite running pc on it at times and kids using a fair bit of Xbox. You literally have to abuse it and leave an image static in there for a really long time to have any issues and also by turning power off at mains so tv didn't want get the change to do its thing to refresh the screen

  • I noticed delivery can take till the 16th February…

    • ouch

  • I got a c8 boxing day 3196 as i liked the better processor with the colour sensitivity as I like to edit some pics on the unit to
There are some c8 left at JB yesterday they still had 30 left don't know what price ce they will do though
This price ce on the b8 though is fantastic

    • Both JB and Bing Lee were quoting $3995 for the C8 65', Bing Lee's site shows $4495 now though.

      • Yes same with video pro 4495 so I got super lucky.

  • Help, I just bought the same tv from other seller, is they any way to reverse?

  • Why so you exclude us videopro

  • How bad is the speaker compared to the c8?

Might get a sound system anyway.

C8 is $3557 shipped from appliance central is cheapest on eBay

One e8 left for $3899 on eBay as well

  • As much as I love OLED
I think most peeps are better off buying QLED
    As it’s cheaper and brighter.

    • Can you please recommend a QLED that is comparable to this one? My living room has 2 large windows so probably better to get a QLED.

      • Q7 looked neat in store and a great price.

    • if you're viewing direct in front QLED is fine , if you have cheap seats or viewing from kithcen / dining as well get OLED

  • Just pulled the trigger, thanks :)

    • Apart from its amazing display wondering if anyone here ever considered lack of 3D function on these TVs? Apparently most of the OEMs stopped supporting 3D functions

      • I guess the 3d fad died in the arse. I guess im in the about time camp.

        • Agreed, still kids like to watch them every now and then. VR is great, but, its more personal and cannot be really enjoyed with others i.e.kids. guess I am stuck with my LG 60LB6500 until its truly dead….

  • I think C8 selling faster than B8 that’s why it’s on sale. Not surprise if it goes down even cheaper

  • How do you purchase extended warranty through the ebay checkout? Or is this something i can do after directly through videopro?

  • No shipping to WA (and some other states) when even a large number of overseas companies can manage to do so is a bit poor by Videopro to be honest.

  • Oh dear, the 2018 LG OLED’s have got near black flashing issues.
