if you know someone with a Costco membership they are $149.99. You can also return if you don't like them.
I brought the 660 about a week ago, I really like it. If you max it, it is pretty loud, but it does the job. I have it running on low most of the time.
How does it compare to just having a big arse fan. We have a couple of those and they seem to be pretty good, but I'm interested to compare how the "vortex" works.
I think it pushes the air differently and so it feels differently if you directly stand in front of it. Look I probably wouldn't say its a must have, if you have big fans already then I wouldn't do it as a upgrade, I just did it cause I needed a fan.
But to make it work you have to put it opposite a wall and aim it about half way up the wall for it to do the rebound and push the air around (I don't know the science behind it).
TLDR, I wouldn't rush out and buy one if you already happy with what you got.
I have one of these and fairly unimpressed, it’s not much better than a high velocity fan you can find for $49, looks nice though so it might suit ur living room better than the $49 dollar ones
If you are comparing it to the $89 Kogan one which I have as well, than don’t because that blows air differently..
