Money's too tight for steak.
at my Drakes foodland in Adelaide (St Bernard's road) it's usually on sale for 12.99. 16.99 when not on sale
Any time that I have bought steak sold as "Economy" it has been aweful to the point that I would rather eat nothing. One lot I even threw in the bin it was that bad. It wasnt from IGA though so maybe this is OK.
Got to be smart enough to buy a good looking steak. I basically dont care what the label says. If it looks nice and marbled and not striated..buy! Regularly get awesome chuck / oyster blade steak sub $9 / kg. Sometimes Cut off the good bit for an actual steak. The other goes into the pressure cooker and comes out a treat.
Partner bought $32/ kg "premium" steak from Foodland. It was absolute rubbish. Dog chewed on it, left half. Never a good sign.
Scotch fillet is a good Prime cut of meat and usually much cheaper than Eye fillet.Go for it.
Good price , not as cheap as Nguyen Phat here in WA that sometimes has it as low as 13/14 , but still a decent price from a decent outlet
I usually grab the eye fillet when on special @ IGA cheaper then woolies and is a nice cut cheaper to buy a whole one and slice it yourself.
In the catalogue it is showing as $22.99 for the Scotch and $18.99 for the rump steak?
Who's the Butcher? Scott Morrison?
