75 inch TV under 2.5K

Need guidance, I am after 70 - 75 inch TV in my 2.5K budget. Only use of the TV will be watching Full HD movies (no games) but like to buy something that is not considered outdated in 2 years time.. with my minimal knowledge, I found these two TVs quite appealing. One more constraint I have is the JB gift cards I have that I like to use.

  1. Samsung NU7100 - $2,295
  2. LG UK6500 - $2,295

Not sure if they are very good deals (doubt as no one posted them on OZB) or should I better wait as GC expiring next year.

Any guidance highly appreciated.

      Thanks. It's giving good feedback about Vizio.. never heard of that.. NU7100 is on list but not very good feedback..

        This is an American comparison site so please factor that the brand names are not available here or even model numbers differ.

        Please factor.

        1 - You are buying an entry level TV.
        2 - You are buying more size for the price.
        3 - Don't expect to be dazzled by the quality or OS.

        If I were you and are patient, stick to a better model and wait.
        At least a MU8000+ for a Samsung or Q6. They will eventually get cheaper.
        The LG at lest a UK8000+ model.
        Obviously the suffix will change re next year TV's

      Thanks.. heard apps crashes quite often on it. One of my friend has smaller model of that and they are not very happy with it due to application crash error

        Fair enough. Given the price point and the brand gathered there may be quality issues. The LG and Samsung should be a safer bet and in your price range. Going to Costco now so will check out the price there for you on a 75in

          Thanks. Just found from one of my friend that Costco is selling nu7100 for 2099 which is 200$ saving.. hmmm dont think i will be able to use my 1500 JB cards and need to buy from Costco..

            @niagraBzO: You can join and then cancel membership. But if near a Costco still worth it to use to save fuel.

      That's quite mad interesting.. never knew that I wonder why they have expiry then maybe to just push the usage of the card earlier.

    Get the Wemax 1 projector and go 150 inches! $2500 ATM. It's the 4k version of the Xiaomi full HD short throw laser projector which is awesome. If you have a large blank wall to project on you can piss off the Bulky TV and they are very portable for outdoor movies or to take to holiday spots etc.

      Thanks for this, $2500 for a 4k projector seems like a bargain and Xiaomi products are always excellent quality
      I'm gonna check it out =D.
