I was interested in this kayak back in Nov when it came on special buy @ ALDI. Wasn’t able to find much about the product, however based on the readings at few forums I decided not to spend $249.
Today I saw one discounted at pacific Werribee plaze for $159, didn’t pick it up but my dormant desire to have one came back to life. Took me a while to get approval from my wife ;-) , however by that time we were out of the plaza. I went to Tarneit Central to get one, price mentioned there on the pallet was $299, someone has mistaken put the price of standup paddle. Spoke to nice friendly staff there to check the price and it came $199, mentioned the $159 at Werribee plaza and staff was kind enough to check again with manager and finally they discounted it to $149.

Yea i know its not perfect or ideal, fits my requirements
- have a sedan without roof racks
- no plan to participate in olympics with this
- few hours for fun with kids
- planning to use in lakes & rivers only
- fits two adults
- ???

At least 5 boxes were there when i picked one, based on my experience you can try at other stores and they might help bring the price down

  i would totally get one for $149 even just to try it out… but what are the chances there'll still be one there on Monday at $149

  Couple of issues as a deal…
  So this is not the store price, but price you negotiated for yourself?? May not be available for others. (Receipt in deal photo may help.)

  Aldi only tends to price match within small number of stores under same District Manager, so may not be available or at that price in other stores. Manager probably needs approval for price reduction from District Manager, which they may not want to do. Worth a try.

  Place for listing limited stock clearance items (less than 10 needed to qualify as a deal) ALDI Clearance. It's where a lot of Aldi clearance deals end up.
  But unless you know about it, you might miss out on items like this!
