Ryzen 5 2600 GTX 1060 6GB 120GB SSD 8GB DDR4 550W + Dual 24" Mon. Gaming Bundle $840 Delivered @ Tech Fast eBay

PLUGIT20

Saw this deal. Pretty insane if you just wanna grab a bundle and start gaming.

Be aware outside of the CPU and GPU all hardware will be bottom of the barrel. If you are more serious about gaming or want a better upgrade path I recommend a custom even though it will cost you more.

While I would not purchase this myself. This is perfect for people dont know there AM's from their LGA's, and dont want the work of researching and specing a custom PC.

Happy gaming.

NOTE

The system does not come with a windows licence. However they are easy to get from ebay for under $20 and they email you the activation code. Done this many times and its great.

  • What would be the FPS on Fortnite?

      • +19

i wish you would be more helpful

        • +1

depends on the graphics settings you set it to. this system wouldn't struggle to hit 60fps on medium at the very least.

          • +4

@Carrian: That's heavily downplaying the 1060's performance. I'm not sure there's even a game that would struggle to push 60 fps on Ultra at 1080p.

Fornite can be tweaked to deliver 120+ fps without much IQ (or draw distance) drop.

            • @jasswolf:

I'm not sure there's even a game that would struggle to push 60 fps on Ultra at 1080p.

This one drops to the low 40's when riding the minibike or looting big cities on a very similar (almost identical) system:

              https://store.steampowered.com/app/251570/7_Days_to_Die/

              • @idonotknowwhy: I think we can chalk that up to horrible optimisation by the developer, rather than some sort of GPU issue, which is my point here.

Where going over 60 fps matters, the 1060 does is a great 1080p card, and the 6GB version can even throw its weight around at 1440p for eSports titles.

                • +1

@jasswolf: Yeah probably. But it get between 60 - 75 fps on my Vega so I've still found a game for you :p

    • +6

Fortnite is not a graphics intensive game and will run on just about anything. I'd expect 100fps on medium. But dont quote me.

Problem is the monitors included at 60hz so you will be locked to 60FPS.

      • 90 fps on Ultra.

    • +1

      Here you go:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vt-L3Vwgoc

Also as mentioned below, buy 1 TB hard drive to go with it, 120GB is good for the operating system but if you install too many games, you will run out of space very quickly.

    • -2

What's your resolution? What's your refresh rate? What's your FPS limiter at? What graphics settings do you have? What time is it? Is the outside temperature hot or cold? Did you OC the GPU?

    • +1

90 fps on Ultra, so you can easily target 144 fps with a few settings tweaks.

You should be able to get over 100 fps in a lot of games between the high and ultra presets, and very close in others. At 1080p, you want a 144hz monitor with a 1060.

      • -2

That's a pretty bold claim considering they could be running a 4K monitor. You can't state an FPS expectation when you don't state a resolution to go along with it.

        • +2

What does it say at the end of the post? Additionally, what monitors are being sold in this package?

          Nothing bold about it.

    • +1

I game using a pentium g4520and gtx 1050 ti and easily get 100fps at high settings 1080p. With these settings you should have no issues

    • About 85 - 95 FPS on Ultra Settings

    • If you played on all low settings it would average 200-300 fps

  • To anyone buying this, you might want to grab a 1tb internal drive as 120gb is not close to enough for games.

    • Yeah this is pretty barebones and would definitely need some storage upgrades for starters.

Personally would chuck in another 8gb of ram to be certain but honestly not necessary.

  • +3

If you tried to build this yourself via Gumtree or used parts you could probably save $100-$140 but that is without included postage fees and you would either have to physically pick it up or drive your vehicle there and back home again.

Good bargain for those who want something hassle free and don't have to worry about pickup.

    • Yeh exactly. This is almost impossible to beat if you just wanna place an order and have everything you need show up a few days later.

      • Spot on. Convenience can go a long way.

    • You could build it for less using newegg, but not much. If you need a whole new PC this a good option (IMO).

      • Yep time vs money basically and I would assume this would have local warranty not sure about Newegg though unless they do Australian warranty now since the last time checked.

        • Not to mention, although not the best. Getting 2x24" monitors and a basic mouse/keyboard combo is a pretty nice cherry on top. It all adds espically if you are trying to work with a strict budget

          • @Justin Powell: Yeah that setup is pretty sweet. Honestly if I had the table or room space I would go for that.

        • Wondering about this now too, Newegg does have an ABN, so would they be bound by ACL? Sure you're purchasing from the international site, but the Australian domain redirects to the international site so you could assume you're buying from an Australian business.

          • @TheContact: I have no idea that is why I don't do business with them but audio because their Australian prices are not that competitive and I have always found better prices on here ozbargain or other sites.

  • Is there one that is cheaper without the bundled monitors?

  • +2

might want to mention that it doesn't come with an OS. (an extra $149 cost)

If someone doesn't know how to build a computer, chances are they won't have a spare copy of windows sitting around doing nothing.

    • +2

They pre-install a inactive copy of Windows

Anyone can go on eBay and buy a licence for a few dollars

      • No windows is a fair point. Codes are easy to get for alot less than retail. I will add a note in the description.

        • Also add no WiFi unless the Ryzen motherboard comes with it inbuilt installed (sorry kind of embarrassing I forgot but I think it is included in Ryzen but forgot).

          • @AlienC: Not for these boards it won't.

Techfast offers a wifi adaptor for $20~, but eBay has one's that are probably better for cheaper.

The board will have built in ethernet though.

      • An illegally purchased license, but yes.

        • +2

Purchased legally, licence sourced unethically (likely from Turkey or Russia)

It's still 100% a legit copy of Windows

          • @railspider: Illegally purchased by the owner of the volume license I mean. They broke TOS by knowingly purchasing a volume license for resell purposes.

            • @Tacooo: The way I see it, if Ebay don't take it down, it's all good.
It's their obligation to take down anything illegal and therefore, they have deemed these keys to be legal.

              • @idonotknowwhy: You can see it whatever way you want but when MS invalidate your key don't go crying to eBay.

                • @Tacooo: I don't even use windows bro!

                • @Tacooo: You could buy 20 of these $5 over the course of owning your PC and it'll still come out cheaper then a "legit" windows key.

I highly doubt Microsoft will just decide to mobilize and try to irradicate these grey keys. The people who typically buy them are the sort that browses places like these, and would rather move to something like Linux then pay $150 for a key.

  • +1

Is it worth adding another 480GB SSD for $89?

    • +1

Adding storage is a must imo, not sure what whether $89 is a deal or not however. 120gb is barely enough for windows, but it will get you up and running.

      • $89's not a bad deal. Definitely a good upgrade for a gaming PC.

    • +2

      Definitely.

Depending on your size of games this is a good option also.

Samsung 860 EVO 1TB 2.5" SATA III V-NAND SSD $198.40 Delivered ($153.40 after Cashback) @ OLC Direct eBay

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/426120

Great deal if you can make the promotional period and get the cash back but otherwise still a great deal.

But if this is strictly a budget system going full mechanical hard drive is still a very good solution because honestly those few seconds you save every load up is not that much even in the grand scheme of things.. It certainly is cool technology but for a desktop hard drive is still an honestly great way to go.

The price premium is anywhere from 6 to 10 times dearer going from hdd to ssd.

Take it from a solid hard core games tester the savings is awesome but I can definitely understand the allure of the ssd. I fell for it too.

      • If you can get that cash backs money and have the extra money to throw at it, I'd absolutely recommend that. That's a hell of a deal.

        • +1

It is pretty beastly and good size for a game drive.

For me personally I need to upgrade some other parts first before I touch my storage.

  • Woah how come the windows 10 licenses can be had for so cheap and also be legit? Very curious.

    • +1

This is the reason why Windows is going subscription based on rumours.

    • They're not legit. They're volume licenses that are sold off illegally and against the TOS.

    • Because ms desperately want to get their spyware onto you system to harvest your data.

  • How well would this run Overwatch?
All help appreciated, I'm not a big PC guy but I currently play on console and my friends are always hounding me to play on PC with them.

    • +2

Overwatch is a low impact game and runs on most PC's. The Ryzen 2600 and GTX1060 will smash Overwatch without issue. Frames will be in the triple digits VERY comfortably.

      • Would you say the build with the 2200g they have available would suffice?

        • +1

It should. Though I believe games are hurting these 4 core CPUs more and more, so if you have the cash I'd pick up the 2600 version.

  • -2

This is perfect for people dont know there AM's from their LGA's, and dont want the work of researching and specing a custom PC.

What do we do about the people who don't know their 'their's from their 'there's ??

    • +1

      Thanks for the valued feedback.

Posting something I thought was useful as quickly as possible while at work was more important than checking for grammar and typos. I usually just hit the ole 'post' button on social media without much thought outside of the important information.

But their is all ways that won in dividual waisting there breath pointing out wear people make mistakes. Personally I dont give there opinions much wait. Be cause most of the thyme there just weighting on an op or tuninty to stroak there epeen.

      • -3

        Disgusting

    • -1

What do we do about the people who don't finish their quotation marks?

  • " Monitors: 2 x Allied 24" 60Hz 1ms LED Gaming Monitors (VGA cables included with monitors; HDMI, DP or DVI cables required for dual monitor setup not included)"

Well that's confusing. Does the card come with twin VGA out? Or will you need adapters just to hook it up?

    • You won't be able to run 2 1080p 60hz monitors from VGA and no 1060 is going to have dual VGA input. You should be using DP or HDMI to hook them up, but imo, unless you really have a hankering for a dual monitor setup, I would get the cheaper deal without the monitor and use the saved money for a single, better monitor

      • What I want to know is are they selling the machine and monitors with no means of hooking them up without an additional spend.

If you use Displayport -> VGA adapters (as I do for one screen on my current setup, so that I can use an old KVM switch) you can certainly get a 1080 to drive multiple monitors including 1 with VGA 1080p@60Hz. I have 3 running at 1080p@60Hz - 1 VGA (and through KVM), 2 DVI. My much older machine with a pair of 560Ti cards is on the KVM as well and also does 60Hz - 1 VGA (through KVM), 1 DVI, 1 HDMI.

        • If you intend on connecting both monitors straight to the PC, then from what I can tell, yes you will need to buy additional cables. It does say "…cables required for dual monitor setup not included". Which you should do anyway because VGA is garbage

          • @OzBarAnon: HDMI, DP or DVI cables required for dual monitor setup not included, so VGA? It's quite unusual to ship 2 screens with a PC but no way to hook them up.

VGA is okay if your cables are short and decent quality. I'd prefer DVI but as I said I'm using an old VGA KVM (4 port) and I don't want to pay a fortune for a decent KVM, or go with a cheap one that disconnects and reconnects devices instead of using emulation. My monitors are quite old Samsungs but I can game on it just fine and the display quality is only a notch down from DVI. I have seen awful VGA setups with ghosting and terrible blur, but that's not what I have.

            • @syousef: If your KVM is able to support 2 monitors both connected by VGA, then you'll be alright. But if you plan on connecting both monitors directly to the GPU, then no, you cannot use 2 straight VGA cables as no GTX 1060 that I know of will have 2 VGA ports. In fact, I'd be shocked that any 10 series GTX card would have VGA ports at all. I don't want to sound too cynical but it sounds like the monitors are just cheap garbage that they want to offload. The only Allied branded items I can find are listings on eBay by this seller and from the picture (they sell the monitor separately too), the monitor only has a single VGA and HDMI input

              • @OzBarAnon: I didn't look long but I couldn't find reviews either.

My KVM is only single VGA btw. That's why I'm using DVI and HDMI. i have 3 monitors hooked up to 4 machines ranging in age between 12 years and 1 year old. It's quite a neat little setup but it's going to be hard to replace when I am forced to eventually upgrade the monitors. The latest machine has a 1080 in it and is connected via Displayport -> VGA adapter to the KVM.

I'm really surprised that they'd be selling a 2 monitor setup that isn't ready to use. I haven't jumped on this deal. Which is fine. I've spent enough this Christmas shopping season.

        • Serious question, who doesn't have a spare HDMI cord lying around? Don't think I can remember the last time I didn't have a spare.

*The card will likely have at least 1 VGA, HDMI and DP. Odds are it'll have 2 HDMI (based on my knowledge of 1060s)

          • +1

@N1NJ4W4RR10R: Well I'm a dinosaur now, but back in my day they didn't sell printers without cables, DS consoles without chargers, or systems without any way to hook up the monitors. Never mind. Progress huh?

            • @syousef: It's definitely an oversight not to add an extra HDMI/DP in, that's for sure. Just came off a bit like a few of yous didn't have HDMI cords.

              • +1

@N1NJ4W4RR10R: I have plenty of spare HDMI but no spare DP yet. I hate the way the monitors I own behave with HDMI. They don't power off when no signal. I'm not sure if that's what the HDMI spec says they must do.

  • Bundle has been restocked by luketechfast. Yipeee! Get buyingggg :)

  • Looks like it is sold out.

  • very helpful post especially for this newbie.
