  • Seems far too good a price to be truely good. Anyone with first hand experience?

    • If you are here to hear good reviews then it doesn't look good:

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zmyoY-37v8

      "The night time footage from this "1080p Full HD" dash camera is almost completely useless. The box says, ""With Full HD 1080p recording, this Crash Cam FHD X has the resolution to identify key details such as number plates and street signs, day or night." I beg to differ, as I am unable to make out a single number plate, and even people inside a lit garage are virtually unidentifiable."

      • The sony exmor low light sensors cost too much to be on the budget car-cams

    I think I had the predecessor of this, and it was fecking useless. Problems include but not limited to;
    Extremely poor night quality even with the 6 LED light on
    Motion sensing non existent
    Loop recording making one video for the start and end of the trip, just not the middle 20min-9hours
    Plenty of 3min videos of my car parked in my garage
    Sun flare while driving east in the evening
    Turns off when stopped at major intersections with more than 2 min wait

      I'd expect nothing more from the crappy Laser brand.

  • Hi all, do not know much about dashcams. Can someone recommend to me what to buy with budget up to $80. Thanks

  • Can't comment much on this one since I've not used it, but I do recall Navig8r rebranding and selling the tried and tested G1WC at one stage.

    For $29 could be worth a test - simply return it if it does not perform.

    I just bought this one using the EBay 20% TGG code. It has some decent reviews (with the exception of OzB because of a rechargeable battery): https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/uniden-full-hd-dash-cam-igoca… . It’s the Uniden iGo 325.

    Edit: Meant to reply to an earlier comment. This looks weird just standing on its own out of context.

  • Thanks all for the recommendations
