    only prob is that a lot of the titles are not available in Australia :(

    in fact, of the dozens i have attempted to download since having bought a kindle, the book posted by ronafios was the only one which had success - even books i wanted to buy weren't available.

        weird, do you have your address set to australia?

        before i bought a kindle i could (because i hadn't confirmed my address) but since having bought a kindle, they say my location makes me unable to access the books.

          Sorry cheapo.one I need to qualify my comments - I seem to have been talking at cross-purposes - to say that I only downloaded to an iphone (to the kindle app), I don't own a kindle. Sorry I can't help you.

          Has anyone with a kindle downloaded these ok?

          I've got a Kindle registered with an AU address and I downloaded 8 books with no problem at all. Are you accessing it from your kindle or the PC? I bought it via the PC then just downloaded to my Kindle.

          Not sure if that helps.

    Tried looking at the site, but my problem is that when you try to search for the book once the app has been installed, it says that "we cannot find any matches for your search item…"

    Also it automatically assigns you to region Asia & Pacific, which i cannot change even if i log into my amazon account…?

    from what i can see you can't 'buy' the book from the sinshoppe site…? i am trying to download the book thru the app on the phone

      thats right, you download from Amazon, and its simple & quick on my iphone but I dont have an android and don't know anything about them (oops, sorry, didn't realise you were in the middle of a conversation!)

      Amazon doesn't allow their digital products to be downloaded from other sites, so the best that I can do is post the links. I'm sorry. :-/ Are you having a problem downloading the book from Amazon's site? Now I wish that I had more experience with the different Kindle apps out there.

    Yeah, it seems like it is the amazon site (via the android app). There must be some restriction on Asia pacific or something as it says that "kindle titles are not available in singapore" and since it automatically assigns you to Asia pacific (which i cannot figure out how to change) nothing comes up when you do a book search…

      This is a complete shot in the dark, but did you download the app directly from Amazon while you were logged into your account?

    I tried the trick by changing account info to an US address, but when i trying to download certain free books (i assume only free in US), i got error message:

    "please contact us or change your country to complete your purchase.

    You attempted to purchase an item while in a different country than listed on your Amazon account.

    Are you traveling outside your country?

    Please contact customer service in order to continue purchasing Kindle items.

    Did you recently move to a new country?

    You can easily update your country for your Amazon account."

    So i guess this trick just doesn't work. Your IP needs to be an US one.

    App was downloaded from the andriod market. after i downloaded the app, i created an account. Didn't ask me for any details relating to which country i am from or any other details other than email address & name.

    thank a lot. it work with my htc. just register amazon site then download app from market. use the same user name and password in app. go to sinshoppe.com in any brower , find the book and click buy…done

      I'm no expert but I dont think you can download Kindles to iTunes (not at least without third-party software) - because they are "DRM"d.
