Can I use on normal garden hose?

    • +4

Definitely not. This is for pressure washer machines only.

      • +1

        Thanks

    • +1

No, but you can use this which works just about the same https://www.ebay.com.au/ulk/itm/112504605399

      • +2

No where near the same, the foam isn't as thick and doesn't cling on as long.

        • +1

It is a compromise for having a standard garden hose, it's actually not that bad. Youtube has some videos to show output

          • @koalafied: interested in this as well, have you bought one?

            • @DrMilan: A friend of mine has, I mean it's just soap coming out with lower pressure as opposed to a pressure washer, and your vehicle will still be as clean and you cut cost on electricity. I use a pressure washer and still use a sponge to clean it properly. There's several different garden hose models available, some have lower pressure than others so look for the keyword "high pressure" on the listing.

          • +1

@koalafied: Agreed, I've stopped using my pressure hose.

The time you save not stuffing around is worth more than the minimum gains from a pressure hose. In the end of the day you will need to go hands on anyway for a deep car clean.

      • have you used this specific one? interested since i dont have a power point near where my car parks.

        • I have that ebay one. Its not thick foam at all. But better than nothing. Now I use the foam kit for my ryobi washer which is much better

      • 8 have the one Repco sells
No where near as thick as what this would get you with a pressure washer, and the soap just slides off the car before you can even get to washing it if you soak the whole car. So have to do panel's at a time.

It is however good to have as a middle ground solution, but it's not a exact swap for the real deal

        • I have this and find it excellent. Probably depends on the soap mixture as to how well it foams. The cheap soap works well for me. Chews through lots though bit cheaper and less hassle than a pressure washer.

  • It requires water pressure between 1450psi to 2900psi, thus only suitable for pressure washers.

  • +4

I would probably still wash the car by hand after this (two bucket method).
But I'd use this once a month or so to help get rid of harder grime first.

    • +1

This isn't meant to be a alternative to manual hand & washing via bucket-method (spray on foam, rinse with water, done etc.)

    • this method wastes so much water… just spray off the dirt and debris off your microfiber mitt, or better yet, use 6 mitts for each panel and then just rinse off and wash them later in one bucket. Saves your back from lugging buckets of water around and no need to dunk a dirty mitt into rinse bucket.

  • any recommendations for a reasonable pressure washer to pair it up to?

    • +4

I bought this one for $199 when it was on sale.
Otherwise you can get foam guns for normal regular hoses. Mind you i do find it quite annoying unpacking and setting up the pressure washer just to wash cars. I would normally only bother doing it if i'm washing more than 1 car and pressure washing something else after.

Any comments on the quality of this foam cannon? Currently using a standard Gerni branded one and it is fairly rubbish with the foam consistency it produces.

    • If the photos are to be believed then it gives a solid, sticky blanket. I'm similar, the foam attachment for my pressure washer is universally awful so this would be a good alternative.

    • I purchased a generic ~$20 one on eBay recently and it does the job, so I imagine Meguiars would be much better quality with better results.

you beauty! been meaning to get this and yes, cheapest I've seen is $75!! :) Merry (bargain) Xmas!

Does anyone know if this will work with Ryobi pressure washer?

    • Interested as well if anyone knows.

    • This is listed on SCA's product listing for the same item:

Adapators: Karcher K Series, Gerni and 1/4″ quick connect adapters supplied

      • There are mixed reviews on SCA website for this snow cannon. I am bit scared about it’s performance as I just bought one.

  • Hows it compares to bowdens that's often mentioned here?

  • you'd hope that car wash is worth $30 as the snow cannon is $20 on ebay for the same one

To pair with this Autoglym Polar Blast 2.5l $28.76

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/423822

Not sure how they can sell it so cheap, been looking to buy these 2 for last few months and this is the cheapest so far.

    • Great deal! currently using this snow foam with the Mint Pro Tools Snow foam lance, thickest snow foam I've gotten so far.

For those that want thick snow foam, I've tried the ebay $15 lance (not much foam, more runny) and bowden's (was okay foam).
Its all upto the lance, I've tried super syrup #cleanaf, currently trialing autoglym polar blast, and have gyeon and mint awaiting trial.

All these work great with the most basic gerni, make sure you have the right connector for your power washer.

    • Edit: oops responded to wrong comment

Don't waste your hard earned on this, the chinese snow foam bottles do exactly the same thing, except with heaps better foam output. The only difference is the brass/plastic adapter fitting and the logo on the bottle.

Check the sellers page, they have a bottle with an adapter that fits most pressure washers. I bought a JET-USA washer from eBay for $79 with 20% off coupon, and the included foam bottle was rubbish so I ended up buying the one below. Adapter fit perfect, also works on Gerni/Ryobi and some Bosch washers.
Be sure to get a brass adapter as the plastic ones wear out way too fast. Ali and eBay have adapters to suit.

Decent price for a proper snow lance, generic / other branded ones can be had slightly cheaper on eBay / Ali but this is a good 'all you need' kit. The attachments that come with it will fit any Karcher or Gerni pressure washer, and any pressure washer from these brands should be sufficient to properly foam snow.

Any brass foam lance with adjustable nozzles should perform the same, so all of the Bowden's, MJJC, Waxit, etc are comparable to each other.

These will give a much, much better foam than the kit "foam" attachments that come with pressure washers (e.g. https://www.bunnings.com.au/gerni-high-pressure-cleaner-foam…).

Would like to know if this would work with a Ryobi pressure washer

    • You need both of these to get it working https://www.foamee.com.au/collections/adapters/products/kew-…
      https://www.foamee.com.au/collections/adapters/products/13mm…

Aliexpress and eBay have them cheaper however may not be aussie stock

That page says “Bosch AQT, AR Blue Clean, Sun Joe, Jet-USA, Comet and Ryobi washers share the same adapter.”
Should I be getting the Bosch AR Blue one instead of Kew Alto?

        • What did you get? Can you please tell me? I am confused between Kew/Alto and Bosch AQT adapters.

My washer is Jet-USA RX 525.

        • JET-USA washers can use either the Bosch AQT adapter or the Kew/Alto adapter depending on where you attach the cannon on the washer wand.

  • Has anyone had any luck using this with a Worx pressure washer? This brand was only sold by Masters so unsure if the adapters will fit. Google doesn’t help either.

    • Which model do you have? Is it hydroshot?

      • It’s a WG600E. Does that help?

        • Read some forums, with the Worx the end piece is just a standard pressure connector. Just disconnect the adapter and put practically any standard connector on.
If you can disconnect the adapter and take a photo of the end, it'll give a better idea on what would work. This should fit the end anyway https://www.amazon.com.au/NUZAMAS-Pressure-Connector-Adjusta…

  • Excellent, Dad's Christmas present sorted!
    Cheers!

  • How does this compare to the Ryobi Snow Cannon Clone for >$30?

    • I've found that any "cannons" made by the pressure washer brands themselves are very weak and shoot just soapy water. They're mostly made out of plastic so can't withstand the pressure that the brass cannons can.

  • Out of stock just when I was about to bite

    • Never mind

  • And just like that back in stock

  • +1

Out of stock but another box has been opened and restocked thanks SparesBox - and ordered plus the autoglym foam for later.

    • Please tick the "I am associated with Sparesbox" tick box when commenting as a rep.

I'm not a rep - re-read my comments. I am thanking them for restocking.

  • Does this work with the ozito pressure washer?

  • +1

I have received this kit yesterday, very fast delivery. But I didn't check the attachment properly before I ordered it. I have an old Aussie Eco-Clean H110 pressure washer, none of the adapters included with this kit fit the Eco-Clean attachment. I am not 100% sure but looking through the pictures on internet, this Eco-Clean attachment seems to be using the old Bosch attachment, does anyone know where can I find this type of attachment? Bunnings?
