Anybody know if any/all of these games in the bundle are physical or digital?

    • I bought the Skyrim bundle previously, and VR Worlds is a code whilst Skyrim VR is a disc.

    • +1

      they are all digital

    • +1

Confirmed it with ebgames, it's digital.

  • +2

Anyone come across any deals on the move controllers?

  • Why do the pictures make me feel like its a V1 model?

    • +2

They probably just threw whatever photos they could find on the ebay listing. This pack is an official bundle that was released this month, so it's definitely V2.

    • +2

They don't mention one way or the other, but I'd say it's a V2, seeing as it's a newly-released, pre-packaged bundle, rather than something that one particular store has slapped together.

    • +3

Its V2 if you look closely at mark on VR headset on bottom picture in bundle photo

      • Thanks guys. Worth getting this even if I might not play Skyrim? Am trying to work out if it's cheaper just getting it all separately.

    • +3

This question gets raised in every single PSVR thread and I can't remember for the life of me the last time a deal was confirmed as V1. It's pretty safe to assume nowadays everything is V2 imo

  • Ghaaa, what a steal!

  • +1

    At last, I jumped in…

  • Pulled the trigger and now trying to work out everything else we’ll need. Any good deals on external hard drives?

  • +3

This is a crazy good deal. I bought all of those for more than $800! I’m one of the early adopters…

    • Same here :/

  • How many move controllers do you need for VR? 1 or 2?

    • I believe two as the game I played they became your hands

    • Seems like you don't have to have them for most games, but that they enhance the experience in some if you do.

    • 2 for Beat Saber ;)

    • How many hands do you have?

      • I was hoping the games would be one move only. I have a move for PS3, and none of the games I played required 2 of them.

I've heard the best PSVR experiences were seated experiences with dual shock 4 anyway, so I really didn't want to buy another move, since I regard them as Wii-era technology. And for me, the Wii was a dark period in gaming.

        • I’m not sure what game it was I played but they acted as hands and then I was dodging bullets whilst picking up weapons and attacking red men… pretty sure you need two

        • You will definitely need 2 move controllers. Games like Superhot, Job Simulator, Accounting+ and the Rick and Morty VR game all need 2 moves as they become your hands in game.

Maybe try out cash converters, I seem to remember seeing a few v1 moves for next to nothing at my local store a while ago.

          • @XVX: Wait, there's a V2 move now? What has changed in it?

            • @lostn: The port at the bottom for charging - that's all! Now micro-USB. No functional changes which is why the PS3 ones now fetch decent coin on the resale market.

              • @fookos: Why would ps3 fetch decent coin?

why would ppl just not get the new move instead of the ps3 move?

                • @pinkybrain: Because aside from the charge port there's no difference. When the newies aren't on sale the double pack sells for $120. On sale they generally aren't found lower than $99.

Prior to VR, the PS3 moves would sell for $10-15 each. Now they fetch $30-40.

… and, some people already have one PS3 move and then only need to buy one more for VR, and the PS4 variant isn't available as a single (I think).

                  • @fookos: Yeah I also am one of those with one ps3 move
but when I checked on ebay, the ps3 move is not all that cheaper
compared to ps4 move double pack (on sale at $99) etc

                    e.g.
                    https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p233452…

Cheapest single one is approx $52.

Don't forget…these would no longer have warranty.
Also the batteries would not be as good anymore compared to a new ps4 move etc..

So I don't see how getting a second hand ps3 move is worth paying for when considering that it
                    -no longer has warranty
-batteries are quite old now so that charge might not last as long
-price is not much cheaper than the double pack (ie one single move is $50 etc)

                    • @pinkybrain: I paid $36 for an extra and it's in perfect condition and battery excellent.

If you are worried buy the 2-pack and sell your old one. Bye!

                      • @fookos: that's a good idea!
                        thanks

when did you buy it at $36?
price has gone up to $50+ now

I just bought the target clearance version 1 bundle with camera and VR worlds for $199. Wish I had waited as I've been having black screen issues on PS4 Pro, oh well.
As for the move controllers, the old PS3 controllers work fine, you just need old mini USB cables instead of micro USB, or a charging dock once they're synced with your PS4

    • Mate would those issues have occurred with V2? First I have heard of the upgrade making a difference with bugs and the like.

      • +1

I understand the issue is with PS4 Pro and V1 VR, I really am unsure if its caused by cheap cables, or something else as everyone seems to have a different stance. I've read that replacing the Sony provided HDMI cables with high quality ones MAY help.

        • can you return it?
          or get warranty ?

  • This deal is back up with another 10% off code.

  • Picked this one up ($329) and farpoint pack with the aim ($99) at JB hifi.

Got them both for $408.. further $20 off.
