  I just finished watching this tonight. Amazing series, and like Hanks' 'Band of Brothers' (and 'Saving Private Ryan') I was drawn in completely to the end.

  Gritty, honest (at times savage, and others poignant) portrayal of the faces of war.

    thats a pretty damn good price for a blu ray in aus. Hope the prices continue to fall to come inline with overseas prices.

    Agreed. If I ever rewatch The Pacific I'll be skipping the awful Melbourne episode (I think its ep3). The series gets better half way through, once Eugene Sledge's storyline starts, I found he was the only character I cared about.

      Yeah I hated that ep too, I didn't really care for the actors. I found the BoB characters more likeable.
