Oovie Monthly Free Wednesday Promo Code for 6/4/11

190
WED529TAB

Received this as an Oovie member but assume it would work for anyone (as far as I know they dont have my credit card on file):

Your Free Wednesday Code For 06/04/11 is WED529TAB.

Your Monthly Free Wednesday Promo Code is valid for a one night free rental, of any one DVD, from any Oovie machine only on April 6th 2011.

Here's how it works:

  • Visit any Oovie machine on the first Wednesday of the month.

  • Choose the movie you want to rent.

  • Enter the Promo Code for that Wednesday.

  • Swipe your credit card - so we know it's you - and out comes your free DVD.

  • Your free rental is due back to any Oovie machine by 9pm the following night, or keep renting for just $2.99 per night.

Enjoy.

Team Oovie.

  • Oh Damn it. Going to have to get up early tomorrow if I want there to be anything worth watching left in the machine :)

    You locusts, you.

    • You can reserve movies from their website

  • +3

I remember when I was younger how we used to get a free code every Wed. Ah, the good old days… ;-) …and they took my local machine away :-(

  • same code for me - not unique

trying this for the first time tommorow

is it true this code is per machine?

So if you visit more than one you can still use the code?

It seems you can also return this to any machine, so even if you visit multiple machines, you only need to revisit one!

hoping for movie goodness tommorow ;P

    • It's per credit card (which is the required identifier even for a free rental). It's doesn't matter which machine you borrow from/return to as they are all networked.

      • they are not actually networked as per say.

Yes, it's one free rental per card per machine.
        (yes, per machine also)

And yes, you can borrow free movies from multiple machines and return all to just one machine.

        • They are networked in that you can borrow from one machine and return to another (as I described). They are also linked such that you can reserve DVDs from any machine via the Internet and receipts are also emailed at borrowing and return time from any machine.

Whether they let you use the same credit card to get a free DVD from multiple machines on the same day I don't know but if so it's not because they aren't networked to know about it/restrict it if they choose.

  • The way I see it is Hoyts own Oovie (http://www.hoyts.com.au/Meta_Data/Footer/About_Us.aspx) and like to charge ridiculous fees at the box office ($18.50+) to see a movie so the more people that use this offer the better. Stick it to the man! :)

  • You can use the code as many times as you want at the same machine, as long as you use a fresh credit card each time. The machine also asks for an email addy before it spits out your movie, but does not check if they are valid.

    • The email address is optional I believe - It only needs it to send you a receipt.

  • I used to also get one a week but that stopped in january :( Got my free movie today :)

  • got mai free movies

the kiosk threw a fit and restarted trying to dispense my movie - obviously could not handle my awesome choice

but it seems to have figured it out and not counted the transaction or e-mailed me

seems a bit silly to make the slot soooo teeny, that or that should remove the plastic/movie slip with something more streamlined

a lady was there just about to rent one - so she got a freebie too!

  • just reporting my findings

code works in multiple machines - they do not seem to be linked for this deal

    debit cards work

    limit 2 per new renter

put your proper e-mail addy in - if something goes wrong it looks like how they identify you
