The wording is a little confusing, my first thought was that it meant 'any point through midnight pst TODAY' but I guess that wouldn't make too much sense.

I guess it could be "…thru to midnight…" to make it a bit clearer.

Looks like the community backlash about the bullshit amount of grinding (even more than GTA Online) for gold nuggets has prompted them to try bribe people with some freebies lol

For those of you who are asking /why/ this is here, just know that 15 gold is about 120 hours worth of in game play time reward. The 250 isnt huge, but its a nice bonus. If you haven't yet just login so you get your reward it's worth your time.
The following information MAY have changed but was correct last time I checked:
If you just want your reward you can just make a whatever looking character, if you delete a character AT PRESENT and make a new one they lose all experience and levels but KEEP their money and gold bars when you put a new one in a slot. This is PROBABLY A BUG so may be fixed at any time
At miminum wage rates, that's a free $2400 aud! Best deal ever.

Today we are starting to implement the first set of adjustments to the Red Dead Online Beta including changes specifically geared towards creating a more balanced, fun and rewarding overall experience, across all modes and missions.
Adjustments being made today include increasing cash and gold payments across a number of different activities, reducing the prices of most weapons in the Catalogue and Gunsmiths and balancing values of pelts, skins and fish.

Pretty confusing wording. Joined would mean that you had to have joined before this promotion started, but then it says through 6pm..
