[VIC] 2kg Bucket of Goat's Cheese for $50 @ Meredith Dairy (Truganina)

410

Pick up 2kg of the creamiest cheesy goodness that is Meredith Dairy's delicious Marinated Goat's Cheese as part of their 2018 Bucket Bonanza.

Between 11am and 2pm on Sunday 16th December, they will be selling 2kg of the good stuff for only $50.

Considering a 550g jar is $20 ($36.36 per kilo), and a 320g jar of the stuff is $12.99 ($40.59 per kilo) at Woolworths, apart from the petrol cost, this is definitely good value.

Certainly great for those on the western side of town. Maybe make a day trip out of it?

How does this price compare to Costco?

    • +3

Costco sells the 550g jar for $15. So seems pretty good.

      • +4

So 27.27 a kilo at Costco? Accounting for time and petrol, makes it better to buy there if you already have a membership

What percentage of that 2kg is cheese vs oil?

    • good question

      • Judging by the 320gr jar.. it's approx 3 parts cheese to 1 part oil

The constituents of Cheese is saturated fat, protein and sugar(lactose)

the rest is canola oil and olive oil(Poly/Monounsaturated fat)

..with non sugar carbs coming from garlic, peppercorns, thyme

        • There is exactly 1.4kg of cheese in every bucket

        • +1

          canola oil

          :-(

    • the 2kg weight includes the oil and the cheese? Is it the same with the instore stuff at woolworths?

  • Looks like they are giving these away at that pricing.

Lucky for those goats, their sore nipples are appreciated by us ozbargainers
