Putting this out there
For anyone (like myself) who are looking to sign-up to ABB and saw this and perhaps this, its incorrect and to the point false advertising. The referrer had a post implying free first month PLUS $50 credit. Sure I used the code and got billed $50. Called ABB and was told no stacking.
For the regular folks who dont spend hours reading on Whirlpool and Ozbargain multiple posts to skim out what deals are verified correct and which ones are false, its almost a guaranteed thing that they will sign up based on that false advertisement.
ABB accounts told me the referrer still gets to keep their $50 credit even if I churn (which I will be since its an outright false advertising from their own current pool of users).
Well, perhaps the new way to get free paid broadband services is to create false deals promising everything on multiple platforms to get new sign-ups without fear of consequences from ABB (since ABB's system actually incentivize such behavior).
I hope the mods here on Ozbargain and Couponese can remove the false referral ad and perhaps hold that person accountable. God knows how many free $50 that person would have collected from here.
Wonder if I can sign up now but delay starting service for 2 weeks? Else.. anyone have a referral code that wants to share?
