Positively received game Islands of Nyne: Battle Royale, which has a mixed Steam rating 55% positive, is holding a free weekend, with 1 day and 15 hours from this post remaining, after a major new patch.

After the free weekend the price will drop to USD9.99 (previously 24.99) for "the foreseeable future". Which is a much more suitable price for an Early Access title albeit one that was running superbly very early on.

Existing license holders recieve a free "Thank You" virtual tat package.

    I mean I hadn't read reviews and everybody on WP says it runs very well. And Ars Technica wrote about it running very well.

    Well it was actually a pretty good game. but the timing was bad. BR games live or die by player numbers. While games like CS etc. can still be a great time with only 4 or so players, BR games need a decent player population to work.

    in IoN the lobby is more fun than most, with the gun game, but for ages due to the lack of players, that is all players ever saw, hence the recent reviews being so discouraging.

    Maybe the FTP weekend will kickstart the game again, but getting hard to compete with the always free games, like Ring of Elysium, Fortnite etc.

  I bought it when it first came out; and it was good, needed some work, but not too bad……and then the players started dropping off. Not sure what its like now but good luck finding a server with people in it
