Anyone Having Issues with ShopBack?

It's been 48 hours and it seems my order did not track, even though I went out of my way to ensure all the rules are followed. Currently missing out on $50 worth of Cashback and it sucks, anyone having similar issues?

    4 purchases are outstanding from Thursday and yet to get any email around tracking. Would be very angry to miss around $200.

    • I made purchases on ebay last Thursday. Got the tracking emails yesterday. Made a purchase on Amaysim previously but did not track at all. Probably there is a backlog due to Black Friday and also depends on which retailer you are buying from.

    Did Amazon charge your card at all? I made two purchases with Amazon last Friday and yet to be charged. Both are at "we've got your order" status.

    I think it's Amazon who has a backlog and referral sites won't know about these sales until Amazon actually collects money and fulfills orders.

    They do say on their website that it can take up to 4 days to process. How about give them the benefit of the doubt and wait the full time they say before freaking out. P.S. I am also still waiting for Cashback confirmations.

  • I also missed out and will need to raise a ticket. The four purchases I made subsequently through CashRewards tracked perfectly.

  • The only time I had an issue was during the limited 20% AliExpress offer during Click Frenzy, and like you, I followed everything to a tee.

    Maybe they have intermittent issues during the increased cashback offers?

    I've submitted a claim but still haven't heard back.

  • Had the same problem with 20% Cotton On Cashback during click frenzy. Lodged a missing cashback claim but that can take 75 days :(

  • I made an Amazon purchase Friday morning and it hasn’t hit my shop back account yet. Their website does say up to 4 days though for Amazon so I’ll keep waiting. At stake is the % Cashback on my amazon purchase plus the bonus $11 on signup. When I make purchases through cash rewards it is almost instant.

  • None of my orders for Amazon from Friday have tracked yet. I've swapped to ShopBack as a trial after CashRewards declined all my eBay purchases even though they tracked.

      Update: Just received confirmation this morning for my earliest Black Friday order so perhaps these will start to flow through today.

  • If it was Amazon, you have to click through first, then add the items to your cart in order to claim successfully.

  • I'm waiting for my Amazon purchases to track too but otherwise have had no problems. Have been using them because I have had a heap of transactions not track on Cashrewards

  • With you here, Followed exact same steps (added item to cart after activating the cashback) when they had the amazon promo, still haven't seen the Amazon transaction in click history, i'll wait and give them the benefit of doubt though

    Hey guys, we do have our sales report for Amazon from Friday however transactions haven't been fed through to your accounts yet. Please give us some time to process them tomorrow :)

  • I had to do a missing cashback claim, but I think I had to do that because I didn't do it properly

  • Got the cashback on one order today, but one of my order is still missing which was placed probably 10 minutes after the other one. Probably have to put a claim through for that one.

  • Cashback values seem to have been calculated on the GST exclusive values of orders. Is that the way it is done?

    • Yes, that's on the description or FAQs as it will exclude tax on the amount calculated on. Same as Cashrewards.

      • Cashrewards pays on GST inclusive price.

  • Neither of the orders I placed over the weekend tracked, although they’re there in Click History. False economy to go for higher rates from ShopBack if the sales fall through. Cashrewards is more reliable and notification much faster so I’ll be sticking to CR in future.

      • Ive submitted a claim for the first. When I tried to submit for the second, 'Google Docs Error' repeatedly :/ AND 35 days wait. Wish I'd gone with CR to be honest… missing $ :(

  • I'm having issues with ShopBack because it doesn't show the amount spent in the original transaction, but only show the amount saved. From there, I can't tell which one goes to which. Can someone help me? Sorry, don't know how to draw tables here…

      Just an update, spoke to gotyourback, their Store Rep, and managed to clarify my transactions, but there's a missing one, which is the biggest one, $339. Hopefully they will be able to find it.

      • I'm in the same boat - my biggest transactions or the ones during cashback bonus offers are missing. Hopefully they're able to find those too!

        • Update on my issues: initially they found all transactions, and accepted most of the missing transactions but rejected one which was odd as they were placed together. When I first got in touch to get the rejected one corrected, they said it was because the order wasn't attributed to Shopback, which went possible as all orders placed together simultaneously should've been rejected if that was the case (and regardless, I was super careful throughout the transaction so it wouldn't be rejected). So I dug my heels in, they rechecked, and it was accepted.

          So moral is to keep an eye on it, and if you're sure you've followed everything correctly, keep following it up with Shopback and you should get the cashback.

            @savage bargain: Update again - they've now rejected it again even after initially realising I did the cashback correctly after I questioned the initial rejection…

            So Shopback can't be trusted with large cashbacks, and I have the start the questioning again….

            • @savage bargain: And another update - the payment was confirmed after I questioned it again… So down the track I'll be weighing if it's worth the chasing for big cashbacks down the track as this has been a bit of a pain…

      • My biggest transaction is missing too…. I had to submit claim for all 3 orders I placed, apparently the smaller orders went through, but the larger one didn't…. starting to feel as unreliable as Cash Rewards (always had to claim for any cashback over $35)

    I put a claim in, and it appear as pending now. Initially the cashback was shown as 12% of purchase, but when I checked today they drop it to 6%. This is also from the bigger purchase. Like others have mentioned the bigger purchase one is the one missing. The smaller ones went through.

    Those who put a claim in better check that they have not drop the cashback amount from 12% to 6%.

    • Yes, my 2 claims are pending now… the Hotels.com purchase on Cyber Monday that advertised 11% has delivered 4% :(

  • Hmm a bit over having to chase up transactions :( Had to query a very straightforward transaction that was 'rejected' for no reason. Have just paid $270 for hotel at advertised cashback rate of 8%… expected cashback is $5???

  • Hey guys, just discovered this one.

    Yeah I made 3 purchases on the 20% Amazon deal too.

    My 2nd purchase tracked as "Pending", $50.
    My 1st and 3rd registered the click but never went to "Pending". Approx $50 and $30 from those.

    What annoys me more is some of those purchases weren't even the best price I could get, I was relying on the 20% to make it a deal. So I ended up just getting some internationally shipped computer parts for more than I could buy them from down the street. Nobody but myself to blame for those impulse snaps.

    I'm glad this only effects a minority but at the same time glad I'm not the only one. When I saw no such discussion in the deal I thought I may have been the only one to slip through the cracks.

    I understand these are probably teething problems for a small company, but with hindsite even they must be regretting running a 20% Amazon right before Christmas, right around Black Friday. Tall ask for even a much larger company.

  • Referred someone but for some reason it didn't register on their or my account. Sent messages to ShopBack with the details but no response. Sigh.

  • All my transactions from Jan onwards remain pending. Is anyone else having this problem?

  • Four transactions from 5 - 6 PM haven’t been tracked…it should only take them 20 minutes to get all confirmation emails… will probably lose $700….

    • Think you need to give them slightly longer than 20 minutes.

      • My chemist warehouse transaction only takes them 15 minutes, and I am still waiting for my hotels booking transaction clicked yesterday…@gotyourback

      I think there are issues with Shopback as a whole.. website and app not working properly.

  • I've been experiencing chronic ongoing problems with Shopback.

    The types of problems have mostly involved a sudden reduction in my Lifetime Earnings amount with no obvious explanation as to why it's been reduced. However, when comparing the lists to my saved screenshots (yes really, this has proven necessary) I find that $'s in the Amounts List have been changed to a lower figure with no explanation. The effected amounts appear to be only Amazon transactions.

    This has happened several times and once I've bought it to Shopback's attention the amounts are quickly reinstated.

    Today I find the whole of my Activity list is missing. Nothing there. I'm waiting to hear back from them.

    These experiences have resulted in me having a less than positive opinion of Shopback.

  • I had once booked a hotel overseas and it didn't track it, but like 2 months later, it showed up. Weird.

  • I have around 15 transactions overdue waiting to become redeemable within the last two weeks. I have reported all of them and all I get is an automated email from their zendesk ticketing system. The purchases were made 2 months ago. Anyone else having similar issues?
