Buffalo Air Fryer $299 (RRP $369) Black Friday Sale - Buffalo Cookware

20

Hi, found this when looking online for an air fryer that’s fully stainless steel lined. I live in Victoria and when I went on their Facebook page and messaged for info, I asked for a better deal and they gave me a coupon for an additional $20 off. This may not happen for everyone depending on location but definitely worth a try if you plan to buy. There are currently no YouTube videos in English but the rep told me they’re recording them in December hoping to release them in January. I watched the ones in Asian (sorry I think Singapore) and they showed what you needed to see. I’m completely against using non-stick because it clearly breaks down and it’s gotta go somewhere so fingers crossed this is a good little machine. Made in Taiwan too. Oh, also, bonus, Afterpay is available, along with Apple Pay and PayPal of course. Other deals on the website for pans, pressure cookers and rice cookers. Happy shopping.

This is part of Black Friday / Cyber Monday deals for 2018

If Teflon breaking down is your main concern, why not one if glass ones:

They seem a lot cheaper? Or am I missing something? I’m looking to get an air frying too, so honest question. They seem pretty simple so I’m not sure whether the premium is worth it?

    • I had one of these years ago and they’re not very good at all. These were out before the air fryers so I can only assume it’s a different kettle of fish.

That's a glass bell jar halogen convection oven. They use a halogen light bulb instead of the heating element in an air fryer or normal convection oven. Their advantage is that they can be found in fairly large capacities and for cheap. Their disadvantage is that the entire unit gets hot and can melt things nearby or burn you if you are not careful. The actual machine is all in the lid and it gets very hot so you have to make sure you have a safe spot to set it when you remove the lid to get at the food.

The fact that you can see the food as it cooks is an advantage over air fryers but no different than a countertop convection toaster oven.

That said if you are careful the halogen ovens are probably fine for those on a budget.

    • Thanks for the reply guys. I see they work differently. My toddler will probably burn his fingers on the glass one which is a minus!!

Had one. Didn’t last long. Broke after just outside warranty.

    • I’ll make sure we test it out for all issues extensively within the warranty period. Thanks for the advice.
