  • Please edit post and check the 'rep' box so that everyone knows you're from that company. Please also include basic details (1 or 2 words) on the service, and the state in the title. I recommend reading all the guidelines before posting again. :)

    Other than that, welcome!

    • And - as for whether or not this will be considered a deal… It's something I have no idea about so let's leave it to the horde of ozbargainers.

it wouldnt hurt to mention the on the spot private health insurance rebate on the website either, if not for that i wouldnt even give this a 2nd glance even if i was in need of this service

  • full assessment and treatment…yet The $40 off-peak appointments are available to New Patients only and for their initial visit only (hmmm)

  • I'm going to assume that you're a rep like your username suggests. When you submit a deal, there is a big bold "I am a Store Representative". Please tick this when you submit future deals for the store.

I'd also suggest that you read the following guidelines on what to include in the title + description:

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:deal_posting_guideline…
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/help:faq_merchants

As for the deal itself, what's the normal price?

    • $75 is thier standard rate

      • Yeah, just saw the "Save $35" off the standard rate in the advert. I'll update the post, thanks.

Did anyone see the dentist bullcrap today on was it TT or ACA. On their visit to the dentist they were suggesting all this bullshit work to be done. It's the same scenario. You get your back assessment to done only to find out you have a supposed spinal bifida so your backbone needs to be replaced now. What a load…..

    • I agree. If you have back problems your doctor will refer you to the appropriate health professional for proper treatment.

That way you can avoid being sent to Mexico for a full spinal replacement.

      • A Chiropractor or Osteopath would be way more capable of assessing and treating a back problem than a GP. And a GP would sadly never ever refer you to one of them. The GP would just prescribe you some pain killers or maybe refer to a Physio.

        • And the physio would have you right as rain in no time.

Only those who have a medical degree are coming anywhere near me thanks.

        • dont want to go too far off topic.. but why are these guys more qualified to assess you back/make well thought out decisions as the the role of radiation exposure/and decided on appropriate treatment - more so than a GP?

        • Because chiropractors and osteopaths have a 5-year uni degree specialising in the back. GPs also have a 5 year degree, but they don't specialize in back problems.

        • @trippy - saying they are not specialists in back problems and basically accusing them of incompetence are 2 very different things… what are you actually trying to say??

  • They are only in Beaumaris, Victoria, 3193.

Isn't it quite illegal to advertise discounts for health care? Putting this up on OzBargain makes this thing even more inappropriate. Health care and bargain hunting don't go together. Please get serious. You are giving Osteopaths a bad name.

I also noticed that you have a reward program. I mean… come on.

    • Health care and bargain hunting don't go together? Puhhhlease, there are websites specifically for just this purpose?

      • Do you ever see GPs advertising that if you come and see them on a regular basis they will give you rewards and discounts? Or hospitals that will let you stay the 10th visit for free?

        • That's a ridiculous comparison. I really doubt I need to explain why.

and where the hell did you pull 'illegal' from?

        • Well they are all health care providers. You tell me why they are different and hence why my comparison is ridiculous.

      • i disagree (they do - i agree they shouldnt)… the amount of pressure put on gp's to provide discount medical services whilst still maintaining high quality is ridiculous…
just because medicare provides some rebate doesnt mean it puts food on the table for gp's
yet thats what many of us expect of them…
though the fault is much on the part of the government who haven't adjusted rebates appropriately
